I've not posted for a few days. Not really having a good time of it.

I started spotting brown the other day, so I went to the hosp. They confirmed my Beta HCG as 183, which they were happy with and told me to go back to gynae on Sat. I did, and my repeat beta showed the level had risen, but only to 276. I have to go back tomorrow for another Beta and a scan. The doctors seemed to think the other day that it couldn't be ectopic (I have none of the physical symptoms), but the slow rise of my HCG is obviously a worry for that, or for a m/c.

The brown spotting is still there, but it's still only when I wipe (excuse the TMI). I'm so frightened.

Hope all goes well AnnieM. I know you've been on the 2 ttc threads for a while, which makes any hitch at this stage all the more worrying.

A small amount of spotting early in pregnancy is not uncommon, and the fact that your HCG levels are still rising is good news. HCG levels aren't usually measured in pregnancy, so had it not been for the spotting and you checking this out, you wouldn't even have known that they were a bit sluggish to begin with. Try not to worry, and we will all be keeping fx for you until you come back with good news for us.

I'm feeling absolutely shattered today. We spent yesterday checking out new cars for when bump arrives. We will need a people carrier now, and I want to get used to driving the bigger one before I get too big and cumbersome myself, so were hoping to buy within the next month or so. We've narrowed the options down to 3 I think and are going back next week to test drive them, assuming I can keep my eyes open for long enough. Can't believe how much such a simple thing took out of me though!
  • fingers crossed for you annie
