Morning all.. Had another long lie-in :D

I was going to have a breakfast of tea and custard creams but now you're talking about Lurpak I might just have to have toast, Lurpak and lime marmelade :) (or both!)

Operation Shift-Things-To-Mum's-House continues.. got the clothes from yesterday, plus all the nappies, wipes and clothes we've bought so far to stash in my wardrobes at home. My parcel from M&S was delivered there too so I get to open that and go "Awwww" at the cute stuff! :D

Got to bring lots of files back from there so I can start sorting out paperwork too - for an administrator, I have a terrible "shove everything in a pile and deal with it later" system at home! Come to think of it, my office ain't much better either! ;)

Right, best wake OH up.. Hope everyone has a good day! :D xx

    Morning all

Sami - the scan pics are great:D

There is one boy in my sons school called Ki....We chose to spell it Kai, just because that is the spelling we preferred.

Just came on to let you know, if you are looking for scratch mits, the of Boots mini mode ones are great, they are dinky and have a very small opening, so tend to stay on the hands. All the others I have ever tried just fall off!

Also before anyone goes and stocks up on any particular brand of nappies, my thoughts between Huggies and Pampers....Pampers win hands down on the absorbancy issue. Huggies always seem to make Kai's clothes feel damp and the nappies always feel heavy and soggy, wheras pampers I can leave on overnight (unless pooped in) and it is not as damp feeling as Huggies after just 4hrs.

Although strangely enough I only used Huggies on ds2 because pampers just nevver seemed to fit right on him:rolleyes:

Also to anyone who is FF Asda do a pack of 4 single use sterile bottles for about £2.99, use them with a couple of cartons of ready mixed feed for a hassle free first few feeds:D I found them invaluable as having a HB I didn't want to be faffing around sterilising etc straight after giving birth, the midwives also all commented on how great they were and said they would add them to their HB items list for ladies having HB's

Ooh, lime marmalade, haven't had that for ages - may add it to tomorrow's shopping list! When we were kids, mum said we could have jam/marmalade OR butter on toast, not both, but am guilty of having both, esp now - well, pg mums need the essential fats from butter & loads of vit c in lime marmalade! :rotfl: :D

Well, finally washed hair, DH gone to do work stuff, teenage DS out with mates, so toddler & I off to visit SIL, can't waste sunshine. Just kedgeree for tea, so won't take long.

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

if you tuck the mitts under a long sleeved baby grow they stay on a lot better ;) we've had them on seth for a couple of days now cos the flat downstairs turned their heating off so its now cold in ours, how inconsiderate of them!!

totally agree on the nappies thing, we stocked up loads on huggies cos per nappy they worked out cheaper than pampers when they were on offer in tesco but had a pack of pampers too, he keeps getting wee up his back or coming out the sides of the huggies but we have never had a breach of security with pampers! just gotta use the pesky things up but will never ever buy them again!!

emlou, ask SB - she's mentioned taking nappies back to Asda (even if you didn't buy them from there) and gets them swapped for different ones. Don't know if it works between brands or if it's just different sizes within the same brand, as long as Asda sell them :D;)

Oh no! I bought the 10 packs of Huggies from Boots when there was that glitch! I always used Pampers on DS until he was a bit bigger, then I used Tesco's own.

I can see I'll ony be using a few then!
