hopefully will get chance to come on later

Yes - finally caught up after a day and a half of not reading!

An icepop is one of those things in a plastic tube which you freeze.
A lollypop is a sweetie on a stick
An ice lolly is a frozen thing on a stick (eg juice);) :p

    CONGRATS to AF & angchris!!!

    Welcome to all newbies

    ((hugs)) to Becky

Dysons - I have a pull along allergy dyson and it's fab - small to store, easy to use etc etc. I love my dyson :o (No 2 dyson - had an original dc02 cylinder one first)

Cervix - you know what one feels like if you have a prolapse - hell, you basically know what it looks like then!:o :o

    Afternoon ladies,

I've only managed to catch up to the end of page 140. I made notes as I was reading, so hopefully haven't missed anything out!
Chopsticks - Yay! another guinea pig. I'll be keeping on eye on both you and Elle_gee to see how you get on working so close

I finished at 39weeks with DD and as she was born almost 3 weeks later. I didn't want any time to rest beforehand and I wish I had stayed at work longer as the wait at home was driving me mad. I had an uncomplicated pregnancy and felt fine (IIRC) - I even remember that I wasn't always given a seat on the tube in the final weeks!!!!
I plan to work until as late as possible again this time (til due date ) although I can review at any time and I guess work shorter days or work from home towards the end. I am being paid fully whilst on ML so it doesn't really matter when I officially leave - will just see how it goes. Assumes this pregnancy is as uncomplicated as last time.

Hi newmoneysaver & efrieze. When I saw the midwife earlier this week she asked what my ML plans were. When I told her, I asked her if I thought I was underestimating how tired I'd be and she said the best thing to do is play it by ear as everyone feels different and no two pregancies are the same.
It'll be interesting to compare notes and see how we all get on. Hopefully we'll all have no complications and oodles of energy until our due dates :D

Chopsticks - I was totally for the "I'll work right up to my due date!" school of thought... and now with less than 2 weeks to go till I go on annual leave before my ML I'm SOOOO glad I am not working right up till my due date!
I think it might be different if you have no problems at all but with my back and hip ache at 32 weeks I've already been struggling for ages and it's getting worse and worse. If at home and not having to travel to work I can manage it fairly easily and it's ok - but having to travel to work is agony
I can't imagine how much I'd struggling getting to work in 4-6 weeks time...
But as I say - if my back and hips weren't so bad I think I'd not have much issue with working till quite close to my due date... bit of a lottery though
Hi Tine. It's so difficult to decide. I really love my job but I would happily go on ML this instant if I could. Not because I've had any complications but just because I fancy being at home!! The only thing that is holding me back from going on ML any earlier than two weeks before the EDD is that I want as much time as possible with the baby before I got back to work because I will have to go back after 9 months leave (only SMP).

Glam & Chopsticks – I feel sorry for you guys only getting SMP. I think if that’s all I was getting, I would never be able to afford to have children! It’s one of the reasons I have remained in my job mind you, because the benefits are good. How long are you guys planning on taking off? I am hoping for 9 months. Don’t think I can afford another 3 months after that with no pay sadly. Then I need to decide whether I want/need to go back full or part time.
I am hoping for nine months too. We can afford - just - to survive on DH's wages but things would be extremely tight and I would like to have some money for extras and not have to worry about every penny. We have been saving like mad the past few months though, so that gives us a bit of a buffer.

    Ooooooooooh scan tomorrow!
This one's a 21+change scan, so we shall see organs and movement and - we'd better see proof of gender this time as opposed to "we're fairly sure". I'll spend tonight poking my belly insisting that the tiny boxer in there spread em for us.
There was simultaneous kicking and punching last night in two separate locations. It was pretty cool, in a weird way.
Hope your scan has gone well today. I had the simultaneous kicking and punching last week...it was really cute but then the novelty wore off as I was trying to sleep at the time since it was 5:30am!!

Sami - If you're still looking for them, Tesco has cress seeds in at the moment. In my local one, they're near the fruit and veg section in a rack. The cress ones are Unwins and are 99p a pack.

Will try and catch up with the other pages tonight.

Krystaltips, i noticed in your sig that your trained in breast feeding support. Im going to breast feed but i have my nipple pierced. Would i have to take it out and keep putting it back in, or should i take it out permently.
And if i have to take it out permently, when do you recommened i take it out?

    Thank you :D

    x
You will have to take it out to feed the baby, but up to you wether you leave it out or keep putting it back in again... You don't have to take it out before baby arrives but you might find it gets uncomfortable with the nipple changes that occur in pregnancy...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Oh cool thanks :)

It feels weird now but im just ignoring it until it actually starts hurting or feeling very uncomfortable. My doc told me when i first got it done that the piercing cuts the milk tubes so milk cant get through so to take them out if i ever wanted to get pregnant.

I have to say I'd take it out... your nipples can get very sore as it is :)
It's only a piercing after all :) My belly piercing came out before I was 6 weeks pregnant too lol but that's my only body piercing :D

Hurry up pharmacy! I'm allowed to go when they've filled the prescription, its oly been 90 minutes. They only do hospital scripts here so can't even get it aomewhere else. Very annoying, want to go home.

Missed antenatel last night, and have to miss it on Sat too. Ive missed the bulk of it. Knew shouldn't have bothered paying. NHS ones were all full tho. Grrr.

I have 3 other piercings, both sides of my lip and my tongue lol.

Im taking the lips ones out when i start college again this year and keeping the tongue one as that doesn't make me look 15 lol.

Im to afraid to take it out though haha, its never been taken out since i had it done about 2 years ago, meep!
