  • Am considering a trip to Manchester City Centre Next. Hoping they may have a good range, which included petite.

Sorry, workingmum - but I wouldn't bother. I work in the city centre and I'm on the lookout too! No maternity range in DP or Debs, I didn't look in Next, just not mind kind of shop - nor H&M. Very small, almost invisible sections in Topshop and Newlook (and this only semmed to be larger sizes) and about 4 things in Peacocks!

I'm gonna try and sweet talk hubby in a trip to the trafford centre to see if that is nay better.

I'm just pottering about the house, my scan is at 1pm. :j I've also booked a 4d scan for 16th May - the day before our wedding anniversary :D

I've got a pair of Mat jeans from Newlook (via ebay) and they are too big - I've got the elastic on the tightest I can get but I've had to put a belt on  My normal jeans are far too tight and some of my work trousers I can't even fasten.

ETA: I almost forgot - we are picking the pram up this afternoon. We ordered the silvercorss 3d from an indipendent shop in the next town, back in Jan cos it was int he sale - Hubby want to bring it home incase the shop goes bump due to the credit cruch. Not sure where we're gonna keep it tho!!

    Morning all!
Just at mums, and got back from the hospital after seeing the MW who went through my labour notes from Aston.
God it was an eye opener!
I think I was so traumatised by it that I forgot most of it!
She has really put my mind at ease about having a VBAC, now I know that they wont let me go on for 14 hours before giving me a section!
I did actually get to 8cm last time but then my cervix swelled and measured 6cm.
I had to wait nearly 3 hours from the anaethetist saying I could have an epidural to it actually being administered  so she is going to put a note in that I MAY want an epidural early.

Then after deciding I was to ahve a section I had to wait 2.5hrs to go to theatre, which again she has said this wont be allowed to happen again as I'm a high risk priority now, well unless there is a major emergency.

On the subject of being induced, I will only be able to be induced by having my waters broke, or being given the drip, but they will not use the prostatin(sp?) gel, so if those 2 dont work then I have to have a section, but she is convinced I wont even get to my due date lol

She has also brung my consultant appointment forward to 2nd April rather than the 16th as she is sure i'm going to be early, sod knows how she thinks that, also she said the next VBAC clinic is on the 9th April but is full, but she thinks I'll of had bubs by then, I think she thinks she's psycic lol

But I feel soooo much better about giving birth now, she was an absolute diamond and has given me her number incase I have any other concerns, I really love healthcare proffessionals like her.
    :j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j
  • Aw, AM what a lovely MW. Glad she has put your mind at ease :)

Thanks Newmoneysaver. At least you've saved me one trip. And you could save me another if you can give an update on the trafford centre;) . I used to love shopping, now i hate it. Can't be bothered.

Will stick to ebay. Works out cheaper anyway. I'm fine for tops, its just the bottom half thats the issue.

AM, she sounds like a real gem.. If only they were all like that ay! (I'd love to have a read of my notes with Aimee... Might request a look while I'm on the ward... Actually... Seeing as I work there... And I know where the notes are... I could probably pop and fetch my own lol)

Searching, hope you feel better soon hun, I think you should cry in front of the boss and get him to send you home!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
