Hi I am a brand new baby trader and wondererd if anyone could advise me how or indeed if a customer can pay by credit card. I cant seem to find anything on the website or in my paperwork.0

There's details in one of the recent newsletters about customers paying by credit card. What you do is use the customer's credit card number to pay for part of your own order from Phoenix and then pay the remainder with your own card. I haven't tried it yet, but I would only take payment that way for an order, rather than part with the goods before the card payment has gone through, in case the card gets declined for any reason.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

Clydeside, on my brochure drop leaflets I give customers the option of paying for their order upon delivery, but advise them that if they leave a cheque for me at the time of ordering I can just pop their order through their door when it's ready, making life easier for them. I probably get a 5% take up rate on brochure drops and end up losing around 10% of brochures on each one, but it's a good way of reaching new people and expanding your customer base. My upline has a trader in her team who built her business entirely on brochure drops, doing 200 a week.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

Oh dear, I have had a quick count of my stock, and there is about £2,200 worth cluttering up my bedroom. How did it get to this? I only started trading in March.
I really need to get selling!0 -
Yeah, I have just over £1,000 of stock which I have built up gradually. I do a lot of Fayres, Galas and Parties so am quite happy to run with this amount of stock but I do try to monitor it and not let it get any higher than this.0

So I'm not the only one who's got alot. Just gets scary to think of that amount lying around, when it should be in my bank account.
I feel it was a worthwhile exercise to do though.
Allicouldwishfor, I'm fascinated that your upline has a trader who does 200 brochure drops a week. How many brochures must she order at one time, and I presume she must live in a city. Only 120 people where I live!!
If any you advertise, where do you do it?
Hoping for a good month next month, and to all of you.

My stock is 'only' worth around £300, which I thought was quite a lot!
I have advertised at NCT Nearly New Sales in their 'goody bags', using brochure supplements with a freepost card attached.Thank you to all OPs

Hi there
Not posted on here before, but I started selling Phoenix cards a few months ago. Done a couple of brochure drops and got a couple of orders, but did an event at a nursery fair and hardly sold anything. So this brings me on to my reason for posting. Really need to ask what people are doing with their old brochures and supplements now that the new one is out - Any ideas / suggestions?
Also, since not doing well at the fair I have lost a bit of enthusiasm for things and need to get it back. I can't seem to interest anyone in holding a coffee morning, so mainly doing the drops. Any suggestions to increase sales in this area or to gain more sales in general would be greatly appreciated - need to get back in to this and sell some of my growing stock!!!!0 -
I sent a load of the old brochures out to schools, nurseries and playgroups in July and for the last month, I've been doing brochure drops with them. I'm now down to around 10 brochures left, but I think now it's September I won't be using them any more. I might ask a local pre-school if they would like them for their cutting and sticking projects.
If you can't get anyone to hold a coffee morning for you, it might be worth holding one yourself to get the ball rolling. I sent an email to all my customers at the end of last week asking for help with raising £100 for children's hospices uk by hosting a butterfly tea party and I've received a reply today from someone who'd like one early in the month, so keep asking! Once you've got one, it's a bit of a chain reaction.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
Thanks for the advice. How are you promoting the tea parties? EG. How do you raise the £100 - what discounts are offered? Do you put this in the mail? Are you using ones off the site - downloads?
Sorry to ask so many questions, but could do with all the help I can get to get things kick started. I have not used the tea party angle for anything as I was not sure what discounts to offer and how.0
