You can tell this is my first Phoenix Christmas, can't you!!! It all sounds very exciting, Greetings, and I hope you achieve your goal.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

I've only just received my business pack and the big starter pack... Such alot of stuff! Impressed with the business pack, but it took far longer than 90 mins to put together a sample folder, and I still haven't stuck them all in! I am aiming to get off to a flying start and have so far given out 11 brochures to family and friends (and my husband's work). I am hoping to raise money for charity, so need to decide what Christmas pack to go for, I don't want to be left with stuff.... Still I have 6 more days before I'm allowed to order anyway!
On a seperate note I was pleased to get a copy of every single Christmas card in with my business pack - I was expecting to have to order those with my next order. But there are no Christmas posters available in Downloads, which seems odd, and what's this about getting a phoenix website page? No details given about that... perhaps I need to read my paperwork again...0 -
Interesting reading about all your sponsoring, given me food for thought.
On a separate note, can anyone tell me what the company leads are, who gets them, how and why?
I seem to spend all my time asking questions at the moment don'tI?

Scots Liz,
Have a look in the trader area of the website, under FAQs there is a section called "How Does The Company Allocate Leads?" which will tell you all you need to know.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
Just had a scary thought.
If I added up the value of all the stock that I've got at the moment, what would it add up to?
Who else is up for it?
Add up all your goodies, Christmas stock, Everyday stock, everything the whole lot and see how much you've spent.
I'm going to do it tomorrow, and will put the results on here.
Any one else going to have a go? I think this may be what it takes to really get me motivated
Wish me luck!!!!!

Just got my September newsletter. The last page is particularly exciting, the company are changing the rules around our use of the internet.
There's going to be a forum on the trader section of the website.
Traders will be able to have their own version of the official website with their own URL, hosted free with Phoenix. A small(er than now) fee will add e-commerce facilities.
It says that blogs will be allowed, but I'm not entirely clear from the article exactly whether this will be part of the official site, or whether we will be able to use other blogging platforms.
Please note that these are my initial impressions from a hasty reading - I wanted to mention it here quickly. Please don't take it all as gospel and start advertising until you've read the rules for yourself!
The DVD might be scrapped, there will be small film snippets on YouTube that we can link to etc.
It's going to be a big learning curve for me, but will add huge opportunities.

Well I did it, I've added up what I've spent and am now horrifed!!!
Christmas goodies £475 at trade prices, so £700+ at retail prices,
Butterfly goodies £ 65 trade prices £ 185+ retail
General goodies £850 trade £1150.
I'm horrified that I've got that much in stock.
Need to get some stuff sold quick, got two coffee mornings in September, then I need to get myself moving.0 -
I've got £470-ish (retail value) of everyday stuff, as well as the contents of my Xmas special offer pack 2, a roll wrap special offer pack and a few other Christmas bits. I haven't ordered any butterfly stuff as I'm waiting for next Tuesday.
That amount of stock must be taking over your house, scots liz! Next time OH moans about my stock, I'll show him this thread!!I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
I have the spare room to keep all stock in, and don't always tell OH when I order stuff. All I've got to do now is sell a load of it.
Who's doing anything for the butterfly charity, I've got two events planned.
Am wondering about setting up a justgiving page but can always just pay the money in using the raffle ticket slip.
Lovely to be able to talk to other traders on here, and hope that the proper Phoenix site gets up and running soon.0 -

I can empathise as I have about the same level of stock eeeeek!
I went a bit mad ordering stuff before the prices went up last year and was full of good intentions to get it all sold....And I can't resist all the fab designs. Now I'm puting off ordering my Christmas pack to add to the tally. OH would have a fit, although saying that he is v. glad I have a nice business building just not the level of profit yet that perhaps he thinks!woops. I;m deliberating between christmas pack 2 & 3 - managed to shift pretty much all of 2 last year but have to pull my finger out to shift 3. got a busy week planned trawling groups for fundraising and hopefully sponsoring just not sure that that they'll buy the chrimbo cards.
Can anyone help with tips for brochure drops? Only done 2 with poor response. Please please some tips appreciated. No idea what I'm doing wrong.. is it better to ask for payment on delivery? maybe i've targeted wrong areas, not sure.
Good luck to everyone, will be good to hear how everyone is getting on!0
