However, when you join, you will have 30 days in which to decide whether you would like to purchase a Christmas stock special offer pack. There will be a choice of 3 price levels, offering discounts of 35, 40 and 45% rather than the usual 30%. HTH
Thank you! You've just saved me loads of money!!0 -
How many traders have other people got in their teams?
I have been doing phoenix for 4 years now, but only in a a very small way as I work part time. Would love to build a team, but am struggling to get off the sarting blocks so to speak. I do the right things, talk to people about the opportunity, and have all the right bits and bobs filled in, and yeas i do give out the packs.
How long did it take you to get teamed up?and how large are your teams? I'd love to know, give me something to aim at.
Also do others get to the trader meetings, I try my best to get there, as they are very encouraging, my ET has also started doing her own ones as well, and I don't know if I should try and get to these as well.
What are your long term goals with Phoenix?
Sorry bit of a ramble, but lots going through my mind at the moment.

Hi Scots Liz,
I have been a Trader since November 06, but hadn't sponsored anyone untl this year - one in March and one this month. I put signs on my stalls saying 'new traders needed', put Freepost cards in all the brochures and got my March sponsor after she put in a £100+ order that was made up from family and friends and when I sent the products I put in a mini information pack 'in case she knew anyone who was interested in joining'. I think these were just luck rather than much to do with my efforts! I am quite shy and worry about appearing 'pushy'!
I don't really have any long term goals, as I still consider this to be a hobby and that I will return to work eventually. I would hope to be able to still be a Trader if I did return to work...0 -
I've been doing Phoenix since April this year and when I started the thought of sponsoring terrified me, so I didn't even use my freepost cards for the first few months! I've come to realise though that this is a good way of boosting my earnings, making Phoenix more of a long-term thing for me, as well as the reward of helping other people get going with Phoenix. I could kick myself for missing several early opportunities to recruit when people have given me huge "I'm interested in becoming a trader" signals which I didn't capitalise on. I've only got a couple of traders at the moment, my sponsor has been doing Phoenix in her spare time for nearly three years and has a team of around 10/11 traders. Her upline does it full-time and has a downline team of around 190 - she's been in Phoenix for around 9 years. She recommends devoting 10% of your table at events to recruitment material. Also, I read an article about a top sponsor in an old newsletter, if my memory serves me correctly she aims to give out 3 info packs a week!!
I haven't been to any of the trader roadshows yet, although I would love to as I find going to my upline's meetings hugely motivational. My sponsor is a 45-min drive away so it's a big effort, but she realises this and I hosted a meeting for her at my house earlier this week. I'm also due to meet her and her upline in a couple of weeks to get some more advice about sponsoring.
Up until now, I've just been doing it as a spare-time hobby-business and not really making much of an effort. Once the children go back to school next week I'm going to be a bit more focussed. I have set myself some proper goals and have an action plan to help me achieve them. I'm 35 with no proper pension, so over the long-term Phoenix will be my way of addressing this issue. For me, I need to have clear goals otherwise I just get nothing done!
I hope that helps - you sound like you are at a bit of a crossroads. Have you spoken to your upline for more advice about sponsoring?I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
I had someone join my team yesterday so that's me got 3 in my team now. I've been doing it for almost 3 years & am really enjoying it. I'm getting quite a few allocated leads from the company at the moment as well so am hoping to make Executive Trader before Christmas. Longer term - I hope it will provide sufficient income for me to be able to work flexibly from home and be around for kids as they grow up!0

Does your team do a lot of volume then? I've calculated I need at least 11 traders each doing £125bv every month to get to ET.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
'Carrying Presents' looks a lot like me at Christmas, as I love giving presents! I quite like 'Christmas Dovecote' and 'Festive Tree'.
I am still not too sure about ordering a Christmas SOP, since I struggled to sell the Christmas cards last year (while rollwrap sold very quickly), although I am hoping it will be easier this year now that I have regular clients. However, I think that having money tied up in Christmas stock is a financial risk
Out of interest, do you send brochures out to your mailing list, using 1st or 2nd class postage? I sent mine out 1st class as I do not wish clients to think that I may offer a 2nd class service, although is it likely that clients would notice if I used 2nd class postage?
I joined Phoenix in July 2008, and am yet to sponsor my first Trader, although I have been trying. Hopefully I will achieve my first sponsor before Christmas!Thank you to all OPs

I've been with Phoenix for 7 months and I have 3 people in my team and one of those has 1 under her.
My first came from just sending her a brochure. Then my second came from her picking up a free post card at a stall, then we got chatting and her gave her an info pack. My 3rd lady came from her picking up a brochure from a basket I had at MIL's work. She sent off the freepost card and joined soon after.
Off info packs I've given out I've had around 40-50% success, which I expect is high.
I'm starting to send out my winter brochures this week and I'll be doing it second class I think. Got a stall on Monday where I would like to shift alot of Christmas stock if poss but just don't know how its going to go down in August!Trying to earn some extra cash, just in case :undecided0 -
How far away do your customers live if you are sending brochures through the post? I deliver almost all my brochures by hand, but the handful I send by post go 2nd class, although I always send info packs 1st class.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

Remember that in terms of Phoenix it's now the run up to Christmas and this is when sales really go through the roof. Both of my traders and myself all bought more than £425 of product from Phoenix this month & I know that they've both got at least 3 events lined up next month as well. I've got 3 things in the diary for next month, 4 the month after & 4 for November - and obviously there will be other things to add as time goes on. The girl that joined yesterday didn't buy a starter pack so it will be interesting to see how things work out for her but she did say that she has a big wish list of things for herself and people at her work are desperate to see the samples and she's expecting quite a few orders from them. I find that things tend to get a bit mad at this time of the year and sales are much higher than usual, so fingers crossed, ET by Christmas!0
