I ordered pack 2, I probably could shift pack 3 but I didn't want to risk being left with any stock after Christmas. What has everyone else ordered?I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

I think I will order pack 2, which is what I had last year for my first Phoenix Christmas.
Thank you to all OPs

I'm going to order Pack 3 later this week. I'm pretty confident I could shift it all and the profit is too tempting! It will be my first £425 month too as I ordered earlier in the month too.
Have an event at the end of August - do you think that's too early to have christmas stuff for sale?Trying to earn some extra cash, just in case :undecided0 -
How many of you are planning to do butterfly tea-parties?
I have been putting the word out,and people smile and nod, but don't book anything. Until today, a chance comment to someone who works at the Community Centre and she immediatley said come the last week of September, Saturday morning while the dance lessons are on and you will catch all the mum's waiting between lessons. She is going to get friends to bake for it and everything. I'm feeling motivated now.0 -
Fantastic you've got something lined up for the butterfly tea party mindermum - sounds fab, baking too - bound to be a winner!! I sent an article to a community magazine hoping to persuade locals to have butterfly parties, really want to know if they're going to publish it or not but don't know if it's ok to call and ask.. Absolutely no idea what the score is - do you just have to wait til the magazine drops through your door to find out?! planning to do something at our toddler group anyway, but hoping to spread the phoenix word too!if anyone has experience of the press would be greatly appreciated :-)0

Does anyone else wish they knew how many other traders there were near to them? I live in a fairlyy rural area, but know of at least 7 traders within a five mile radius of me, when there are only a limited number of venues, etc the inevitable does happen, and you get doubly booked. Very embarassing, happened to me and I was the second trader to turn up!! W e sorted it out between ourselves, and got on with it.
What good ideas for the butterfly party, myself have got a coffee morning booked, and also a second one at the end of the month, not dedicated to the butterfly party, but useful to shift any left over goods, and I'll donate the money.
Phoenix said ages ago, that they would set up a forum for traders to swap ideas, I think this would be brilliant, as I'm sure most of us would benefit from reading what others get up to.

Hi Yes that would be a good idea - I take it they meant under the trader login section of the website.
I know quite a few traders round me (as we all have the same upline) but I'm in a town so its not so much of an issue. Must be a bit of a nightmare for you!
Well, I've just taken delivery of my Pack 3, and my husband went a little bit mad at me when I told him how much it cost! I told him to leave me to it!
What are your other halfs opinions on Phoenix? I have to say mine lets me get on with it, but could be more supportive. He just works in the bottom line figures while for me its more than that.Trying to earn some extra cash, just in case :undecided0 -
I rang Phoenix when I was considering becoming a trader and there are 13 in my postcode, which covers half the town of around 33,000 people. When I looked at the trader map in a recent newsletter, it turns out I live in quite a trader dense area but I've only encountered a handful of people who've said they buy from another trader, and some who were looking for a trader after their old one stopped doing Phoenix. I've met a trader who lives local to me who just does the same 2 events a year so just knowing how many traders are in your area is only part of the story.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0

My OH uses my stock as a free card shop for him. Is very supportive when I've had a good sale, but the rest of the time doesn't say much about it.
I would love it to really take off, but have had family issues for the last couple of years, and quite alot to contend with.
My upline has moved away, and didn't bother to contact me when she was local, so alot of the time I feel a bit like a lone soldier!!
Have had three people say they want to join up, but then nothing has happened, I give them the packs, and then nothing...maybe they don't like me?
Not having a good time at the moment,

OH isn't a "card person" but he now understands that other people have a need to buy cards although he's always slightly bemused when I get a big (£40+) order. He lets me get on with it without comment most of the time, but he still rolls his eyes when my delivery comes!
Scots Liz, when you say you gave them the packs, is that the full infopacks in the pink envelopes? Don't forget to complete the sponsor section of the agreement form and sign it before giving them out and always get some contact details so that you can follow them up once they've had a read through. My ET reckons one in seven people who receive a full info pack actually go ahead and become a trader so you may have 4 more to go before you find that person.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0
