There is only me and little one here.
I wear suits to work so those arent machine washed, but thats about the only thing that doesnt go in the machine.
PJs are washed after each use, clean school uniform every day, dishcloths and kitchen cloths 2-3 a day, towels are washed as they are used, bedding, shower curtain and bath mats washed once or twice a week depending (DS is a bedwetter).
I havent counted but my machine is on every day - sometimes more than once.
Say possibly 10-12 loads a week xxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

my mum would only wash once a week on a sat morning if we did get up to help then she would not do our washing she had a twin tub and only used one lot of water it was all hung on the line or on a rack would take about 2/3 hours she was not much of a one for ironing though only dad shirts and school uniforms were done0

There's only me, so normally it would be the dark things one weekend and the light things including bedding the next. Sometimes there maybe too many light things for one load so may do a second.
And i only iron the things that are absolutely necessary.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Usually yes I do,cant stand reusing a towel once damp, and myself and DDs always use 2 towels due to long hair.
4 loads done today and washer is half full again.Feeding 6 Adults 1 Teen a 8 year old with hollow legs and a very fussy 5 year old. Also 3 cats and 3 fishies
