i prob wash more than i should, but it proberly would bother others more than me,lol. i enjoy washing, dried and ironing it.
i was all the bedding once a week ( usually a monday) 4 beds, 3 single , 1 king. takes 2 loads. then i have the usual 2 loads of daily washing, underwear from 5 , pj's from 3 little ones, clothes from previous day etc. and a footie kit from monday night.
i also do extra washes every day, of cushions form the sofa, or the sofa covers, voiles from the windows, table runner and table clothes, curtains, coats, towels and throws etc.
i prob average about 15-20 loads a week. each wash cycle takes 39mins washes on a 30. nothing is ever very dirty, more times than most i do it to freshen up. i will do a boil wash of towel's every couple of week's. as i wash the towles after one use so never really dirty, and there only used for family, but i like to know the've had a boil wash.
\blimey you must love it!!
I am glad others only wash bedding once a fortnight. Cushions and curtains???? Do they NEED washing???:pI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Well I have washed the curtains from my living room today, but only because it was such a nice day.....
Can't remember when I last washed them ....and they were filthy!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Oh wow, some people do a lot of washing! (that's not meant as critisism btw)
I don't have a set laundry schedule, so sometimes I let it build up until I HAVE to do it. I change bedding about every 2-3 weeks. Before anyone freaks out and thinks I'm a dirty so-and-so, I'm away quite a lot, including overnight with work, so my bed isn't slept in every night (I average about 3night away per week). Uniform gets laundered on a very regular basis, about once every 7-10 days, so I always have clean shirts for work.
I don't have a tumbledryer. There's no space in my flat, it takes a lot of electricity and it wears clothes out quicker IMHO. I have an indoor clothes horse and also use radiators, as well as lines in the garden.
I've no curtains (yet), just blinds. I don't have cushions and my sofa covers are dry clean only, so febreeze (or similar) is a good friend. Blankets get done when they're dirty. Towels get used at least 3 times before I change them, as I reckon that as I've just washed my body, the towel won't get dirty. Face cloths are different though, and get changed every time. Teatowels are changed quite often, when needed.Call me what you like, I was a bit "tiddly" when I chose my username

stupid apartment rules. They gave us (block of 4) the same rule as the block of 30. And I am on the ground floor, and have a garden, but no, no rotary airer/washing line/clothes on view :mad:0 -
i think i do 12-16, 3 of them will be bedding, towels get used more than one then dried, i relly try to cut down on the washing, it drives me madHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

we are one family and a teenage son, I do one load of washing every morning and another load about 3 evenings a week, in addition to this I also do 2 loads of bedding
I do moan that I dont know where it comes from but it never seems to go down0 -
OMG I seem really dirty now reading this
ha ha we are a 3 person family and my machine goes on probably 5 times a week at the moment - max!
I use it more in the colder weather due to bigger/thicker clothing, but the warmer weather means thinner clothes and less washing :j
My ds is only in his uniform for 3 hours so if its not dirty its taken off as soon as he comes home and hung up for another use, I will wear jeans 2 or 3 times before washing, same with some tops if they're not dirty and I haven't been/ not going anywhere. DH has a dirty job so wear overalls at work which are washed weekly.
Bedding is done usually 2 weekly.
I've just done the ironing and that was done a week ago so in that week i have worn 2 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of leggings, 4 tops, 3 nighties, dh has worn 3 tops, 1 pair of jeans and 1 pair of shorts plus his work clothes, ds has worn 3 pairs of trousers, 4 tops, 3 pj's.
Plus clean undies daily of course.
So I probably do 1 whites, 2 dark, 1 towels and dh work clothes (plus an extra one if i'm doing beddings). We are on a water meter so I am concerned about having it on too often so think this is my reasoning over not wanting it on too often.:j Mortgage Free!! )Generally trying to cut back where possible :j0 -
This is the one thing that we are going to have to sort out as we are having a water meter fitted next month, i probably do about 15+ loads a week in a house of 5 i have quite a small machine as my kingsize bedding is a full load in itself0

Blimey some of you guys do tonnes!!
I only do one or two a week max!!
I'm a single person and do one a week where I chuck all clothes in regardless of what colour, I just do it at 40 degrees and never have a problem with colours leaking etc.
And then one every two weeks where I chuck in the towels used in the past two weeks and the two sets of beddings used, 2 duvet covers, 4 pillowcases and two under sheets.
Hmm, feel kinda dirty now. Lol.
My clothes are always clean though, I promise!!0
