hasnt everyone been busy today, im still in the middle of house work, up stairs sorted, i had to pop into town for some bits and bobs, had myself a cup of coffee(was going to add a pic of one i thought you just had to drag and drop) so im back to tidying, down stairs , i bought loads of beans, lentils and rice ect, as i want me and hubby to get on a low fat diet, we both put on lots of weight lately. it will be somthing with lentils tonight as they dont take long to cook
  • its been snowing here too. it's really damp, dark and miserable.

i've not done too bad. I've been and done a clothes shuffle on the airers, and the 2nd load is going through the WM. I didn't make it to the shop, but as i'm going out visiting tomorrow, i might pop to the netto instead of the somerfield. There was no way on earth i was walking in the blizzard. It's much nicer to be at home with a kittie on my knee.

I've done some shuffling of money online. DH has left the money up to me, so i've opened new ing accounts for all major spend categories (car insurance, pet insurance, xmas, holiday, pin money, doing up the house, and a baby fund for covering anything baby related/maternity leave.) That's one way for DH to think we are skint, and get him to stop spending cash on rubbish. We aren't skint really, but we have spent well beyond our means for the past couple of months, and its too easy to let it continue. If we hadn't got savings we would be stuck. Anyway, i've a few more online bits.

enjoy the rest of the day,
    Michelle :o

It was snowing here earlier and is so cold.

It's been a lovely day here - bit chilly bit the sun has been out all day. Managed to get 2 loads dried on the line outside and washed the floors as i was able to leave the doors and windows open to get them dry before the little darlings went skating on them!
Windows all cleaned, dinner made and everywhere hoovered and dusted. Kitchen cleaned and fridge and oven wiped out.
Phew - I think its time for a :coffee: Don't you feel good when you get a whole lot done. Pity you have to start all over again tomorrow.....

Well I've managed to do a bit since I last came on. Cleaned bathroom, emptied and re-loaded DW cleaned kitchen worktops and the bins are almost ready to put out for bin men tomorrow.

My first loaf of bread has finished, I started to get impatient for the last 30 minutes, so while I was waiting I cleaned out one of my baking cupboards so flours and sugars are all neat and tidy in clean jars. :D Not sure what I think of the loaf the outside was a bit crispy and the inside was a tiny bit soggy looking perhaps thats just down to the fact that as soon as the bell went I had the loaf out of it and was cutting it  I think I did something wrong as the metal stirer bit is stuck inside the loaf :o:confused: but I'll fish that out when its cooled down for the time being I took my one slice with lots of butter and cheese on it and put the loaf back into the machine to cool.

Now I've come back into the front room I've realised how much of a bomb site it is so I'm going to go now and tidy it up a bit, fortunately munch is sleeping (well kind of I can hear her coughing) so I can get it done quickly as I've just remembered as I've been typing this that DH asked me to pick him up from work at 5.

Have a good evening everyone. :p

B - Cruncy nut cornflakes yummy ~ although my teeth have got out of the habit of having cold milk on them. :o
L - Hot cross bun and another bowl of CNC.
D - Something chickeny although I haven't decided what yet.
S - Fresh HM bread and cheese sarni.... ;)
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

  • My cleaning day went out the window when the sun came out and ground started to dry up a bit, picked up DD and her pal from playschool and went to her pals and had coffee and chat with her mum - adult company beats day in cleaning hands down for me. Kids ready to have dinner followed by quick bath before early night - feel a long hot bath for myself coming on soon

It would be soggy if you cut it straight away, after about 30mins it would be a lot better!!! I often find the paddle sticks in the bread, and like you said, just wait until it has cooled down and it comes out no prob!!!! Just remember its there, a friend forgot and wondered why the knife got stuck, ruined the knife and the paddle!!!!!

did start reading them last night but then DH invited me to share a bath... :kisses3: no competition really..and besides it would be rude to say no. ;)

I went into the bathroom the other day to find my DH in the bath with the shower curtain closed, he had a glass of beer & the radio on. I said 'mmmm that looks nice, shall I join you?' He said in a very hurt voice 'but I'm listening to the football' ........ and they say romance is dead!!!

LOL-I was proposed to while Match of the Day was on, he turned round and blurted it out whilst they were showing highlights of a game he'd already seen!

Just popping in to say hello!

Haven't read all the posts yet, as I have been out doing my monthly mega-shop (trip to the big town- Tescos; Tesco petrol station for diesel as its much cheaper than in our small town; Lidl; Wilkinsons; market - they have a super cheese stall & also magazine stall, although there were no mags I liked this month; and finally Aldi on the way home.) All the shops I can't easily get to, hit in one day!
It's great when the larder, fridge & freezer are full - but I hate the process of unloading the car & putting all the stuff away!
