  • Just sent them an email.

We shall wait on the next stage, but I have my N1 county courts form at the ready for breach of various laws.
It will be easier for them (and cheaper) to just give me what I actually got.

Oh for heavens sake.....really do get a life, you evidently have far too much time on your hands if you think this is worth pursuing. Tens of thousands of people applied, 2000 people won, they had some technical problems but post 2.00pm have handled the situation pretty well and have communicated with all entrants vie e-mail, this board and web-site. It's always the same with these type of "First XXXX Entrants Win" - just be pleased for those that did win rather than the sour grapes

If you're interested I've got a few cracked paving stones on my road - maybe you could come over purposefully trip over them and sue my council.:D :D

Fantastic - managed to get one of these, submitting at something like 14:05, but only doing it once.:j
I think they should have also limited it to London addresses so you know it's people who will actually make full use of the card, rather than sell on Ebay, use for a holiday visit etc.
As much as I agree it's better to limit use to the applicant, I disagree here because of how a London address would be interpreted. I live in London (and so will get good use out of the card) but my address doesn't have London in it nor does it have a compass point postcode. Even those outside of London may commute in and use the card regularly.

I am really upset about people like ticketcollector. It is one thing being annoyed about not having got a freebie, it is another going totally overboard, threatening to sue the people who offered the freebie. What they don't realise is that if that's the reaction they get they might never again offer up freebies, and I wouldn't blame them!

Just get over it, for heaven's sake, at the worst you have lost out on £69.95, but you can usually pick a membership up for less than that and you should have bagged yourself a month free trail membership in any case!

agreed - what are people trying to do? run them out of business? they have 50,000 subscribers. giving up 2,000 free memberships is pretty generous on their part.

and to anyone who has actually emailed the director of tastelondon - get a life. do you think that he has nothing better to do than to give you an exact number on where you came in? all will be revealed tomorrow and it won't affect when you can actually use it, so just be patient.

    Yay - I got one! :T

I fully agree and sympathise with all those who are cross they didn't get one though; I do think companies like this ought to prepare better for timed giveaways. Saying that you didn't have the technology, when you chose to run an offer on the internet, is like offering to give children a good, free education, then claiming you accidentally ran out of good schools, teachers and books....Oh wait.....:D

To everyone who was disappointed, ignore the trolls (they reduced me to tears on the Hoxton Hotel thread a few months ago, and I very nearly left the site, but then I realised that these sad individuals have literally nothing better to do with their time than upset others...) and come out for dinner with me!!

They seem to have updated the list by removing duplicates as my name is now higher up and Andrew Short is only there once so look again, you might be on it now!
