I was so stupid! i was on about 15 mins before the start and I was waiting, then refreshed at 2:00 and had to wait 5 mins till it fully loaded again! How much was the card? £70. How much would it cost for them to defend themselves. £200ish. Cost to me? £0 (as I'm unemployed and get fee exemption).
So it would be better to make a good PR stunt out of it, say give up to 3000 per household or to people who can prove the time they entered, and report this to the press. Equals more good PR.
Defend themselves in court against a poor unemployed person who was made redundant, who was only trying to make ends meet. Equals bad PR.

actually if toptable had a decent marketing PR team they'd leap on this and advertise a deal for anyone who did not get on this list.......
That's what I said on the first page ... we use https://www.toptable.co.uk and think it's great.
I got on the list. I applied several times, but the last few times I was in such a hurry that I didn't use caplocks. And the only entry that's made the list is the one with caps so I'm guessing it was my very early entry (14:02), which 404ed that actually went through.
I hope they do 1-per-address so more people get a chance. I think they should have also limited it to London addresses so you know it's people who will actually make full use of the card, rather than sell on Ebay, use for a holiday visit etc.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
