    A word with a friendly breeder may get you a fleece or two, Rummer. Particularly someone who only has a few animals & so doesn't produce enough fleeces to be viable sales-wise.
    I don't know what alpaca is like to spin but there are a few of those around now &, of course, angora goats ...... but that can be a bit more awkward to work I'm told as it's very fine & has no natural lanolin.

    rummer, if you are not sorted by april i will send you some of our wool. underneath the dreadlocks is a beautifull butter gold fleece...we just chuck it ! [only 3 very fat old sheep now]

    I've found a description online. I've picked out the relevant bits in bold.
    I think they used an online translator :rotfl:
    They have the Spanish spelling & they speak of the reed being made of cane so it may not be one but it is very similar. A horn doesn't have a reed at all.
