so just cold grey and damp here......
sold a few scarves on ebay last night, went for starting price..... so now that i know they do sell, think i will try and sell them on a regular basis, they are sooooooooooooo easy and quick to list..
Gloomy here, not enough light to take photos without flash, light snow falling but not sticking.
Oh to be able to list items en bloc! With everything sold here being different weight, age, condition, shape and size, listing can take agesWill sell 80+ items this month on Ebay, just over half selling on first listing. Reasonably happy with that, could ramp it up but we'll see.
Here's the link to the book I mentioned last night. Alf, pmd you with other photos Lady of the barge FWIW I think Gunn (he of the missing fingers) is probably a baddy

I am what Dunns outfitters used to call "short portly," before they went to the wall (anyone surprised? :rotfl:)
Leg length is, of course, alterable, but basically I'm around 41" chest and (I hate to admit it) but 36-37 " in the waist region. I usually squeeze into a 40" jacket.
Trouble is, most suits look daft on me, because I need a short length jacket.....hence Marks & Sparks usually.0 -

Uk suits tend to be very unforgiving to less standard shapes i think. Dh certianly finds it very difficult. Suit trousers bought on a hanger with a jacket are often a little too small. Arms are almost always too long too.0 -
The tomatoes and peppers are just coming to an end. We might make it into February, but it looks like we'll be buying them soon.
As I promised, I have some seeds put by for you folk*, so I'll put details on here in a day or two.
No one is going to start sowing 'em before me, mind! :rotfl:
*toms only; peppers too risky with chillies in the same tunnel!0 -

I bought a new chicken coop/run yesterday, off to pick it up in the morning!
You may remember that my last lot were killed by a badger and it wasn't a good year for me 2011, so we decided not to get more last year, so these will be the first for a while.
Hopefully I've got a good bargain, got it from the board at the local shop and bought it over the phone. Retails at from what seems to be £299, but they said they got it for £229. I've bought it for £110, so I'm well chuffed. Oh and it's brand new! Never even been put together.
It's this one

Looks like I'll need to add extra weldmesh to the bottom to make it badger proof and I may have to alter it if you can't take a side off, otherwise it will be a pain to sort out.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

It's very like 3 of the houses/runs we once had.
They're pretty good (easy for collection & not too hard to clean) but we found we had to put a lifting rail along the end of the run side to allow for shifting around - they're fairly bulky.
Our worst problem was that the wind occasionally lifted them completely off the ground so make sure they are well sheltered from all directions - particularly the strongest prevailing winds, Lotus. It's amazing how easily the wind getting under the roof of the run can pick such a heavy thing up0 -
looks a bargain to me as thats the type we use [similar] that cost a LOT more than that.... ours have a side door for access and a tray to pull out from the bottom of house so maybe yours does too ??

It's really windy here too, Mmm, something to think about, thanks.
Our garden swing/lay on thingy, gets blown over all the time, so much I've stopped picking it up and it's on it's side in the middle of the garden at the momentFreedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
