Good morning! Finally dry and frost free today so I am just heading out to the garden, so excited!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Oh now I hurt all over
, our garden is such a mess at the moment and it seems no matter how hard I work in it it never seems to look any better!
I cleared the area next to the raspberry bushes and then round the pond. So annoyed with myself, last year I pruned the hideous bush/tree/monster thing that belongs to the neighbour and didn't clear up after myself as it was near the end of the Autumn and I found out today they have all taken root  now I have loads of them to pull out and they are hideously stubborn!
The creeping buttercups are now unmanagable and I don't know what to do about them? There are so many things I want to do with the garden but as usual no pennies to make it happen.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
I've just finished smothering one bed with compost and let the chooks have a good scratch through. DS2 is going to clean the hen house and the shed from when he had the Christmas Turkeys. He's dead chuffed as he won the sweep at beating yesterdy his older brother isn't impressed by this run of good luck. Got to take DS1 to college tomorrow so a day spent shopping, sigh. Just wish I had some pennies. Dam caught the button that makes it go italics and can never remeber which one takes it off again.

I am going to draw out a plan for each area of the garden specifying the plants and hard landscaping features I want in each area and we can pick off each one as we go along. Everything just seems to be so expensive. What I really need is a couple of strong hard working people and a giant skip to come and clear all the areas that are messy so I have a clean slate to start with
. Sadly there are no funds for that so it is going to have to be a little bit at a time all done by me
The table and chair set we got a couple of years ago has died so that will need to be replaced too. Not to mention that all the sheds and fences will need to be treated this year too.

Rummer, i feel the same. Add a digger to the list though. Today we found two tractor tires under the bramble.....and we can see somehting else in there, maybe a bath? Cannot see yet.0 -
We'll be OK until the growing season starts & then it's total madness. Unfortunately S*ds Law means while you're busy with one thing everything else is romping away.
It is always a multiple person job to get on top of it, I'm afraid to say.
At least then 2 people can keep it down through the rest of the year.
If anyone comes up with a machine that successfully allows one person to mow, strim, weed, plant, prune, clear bramble, gorse, dock, ragwort, bracken plus fix fences, clear ponds, treat woodwork (including all the windows & doors) ...... please count me as your first customer0 -
So.....the geese have been down to the pond both days this weekend. Last night we bribed them back in at night with a hot cross bun...i know its bad, but not as bad as leaving them out for the fox.
Tonight they were not having any of that. We dithered and i said we would have to risk them. Next thing dh is naked and jumping in the pond. The geese were horrified and half flew back into the yard. I won't let the, in tomorrow. Dh is in the bath now.0 -

hi all, im very   . iv given up my afternoon to "do" panto meeting for props and wardrobe.....only for it to turn into a rehearsal and if i asked if an outfit was ok? i was ignored by the prima dona producer thing [i cant say lady as it would demean the rest of woman kind] and in the end i just walked out:D:D
having spent mental hours sewing i was not impressed by her bad manners [it wasnt just me ,it was all of us she ignored] she is so far up herself she could breeze up mount snowdon without blinking !
ANYWAY... i am much calmer now...:rotfl:
