Have you got a method to post on the forum on ebay - done it in the past, but don't seem able to.
Non-payer has nowpaid after I've relisted the item & got a bid from someone else. I invoiced the woman twice & emailed her 4 times - like she's waited until I've got a bid - weird, but think I'll be heading for a black mark.
Spent a great deal of time winding myself up about local matters & bad neighbour stuff.0 -
evening folks....
LIR...if i delivered the dog kennel and brought it in my trailer...would your scrap fit in it and the van ???? if you find the nearest scrap yard i will quite happily take you /it ....?? bit of an adventure and my adventures seem a bit slow so far this year...:D
BARNEY thinks he's royalty..:rotfl: he is LOVING being in ,especially today which has been miserable !:( his coat seems shiny'er than before and he has been such a good boy..:)
)
Oh, delivery! No, it wouldn't....the milking parlour/chute in the first yard is part of the scrap. I know i am not really meant to get rid of it but its starting to break up and is gonna cause an injury. I told my dad i was gonna get the stuff shifted and he got on thr ohone to dh and they are saying the same as you...people who come will have big eyes, but as i am not prepared to live with metal forever i will just have to monitor them and hope.
Adventures. Hmm, i will have to try and think of something0 -

i think you should put in a request to cancel transaction [ i did this when someone didnt reply to my invoice last year.] it takes a time but i think it comes under the "more actions" button beside the sales lists. i do hope the moo cow doesnt win.......0 -
choille....poor you ! when i have put anything on the bay to sell i was advised early on to state a time that i expect payment to be made by. apparently this is contractual as IF they havent read this before buying its thier problem and i can cancel the deal. i know this doesnt help but how long did they wait before paying. i think the bay will see that as you have made several attempts to contact buyer with no replies that you have done all that you could and therefore they cant complain. im not sure if there is an allowed payment time as a general rule....rhiwfields the man to ask .......

I've hummed and hawed about putting a payment timing in listings. So far I havent, and I've so far only had one unpaid, which went through Ebay's unpaid procedure. Had one or two take a week or more but kept my cool and they paid up. I will prob put in a pay by date soon as we are now selling lots of items and the laissez faire approach wont work with quantity
The feedback system on Bay totally favours the buyer, who cant really do anything wrong. Shame, as it means the seller has to resort to more legal protection by using the appropriate listing weasel words.0 -
Been to the accountants today and I've paid my tax. OH has to go tomorrow as she had some more work to do on his. We've agreed in principle that we are going to pay her a fixed sum for the next few months as the business has grown and changed so much, that I feel it could possibly be getting away on me, so having her holding my hand will be money well spent.
OH and I are off today and tomorrow, we've been trying to organise our ebay shop. We use auctiva and its proving a nightmare but I think we've got a plan for tomorrow. We seem to have spent most of today chasing our tails.
Joined the local badminton club tonight, they were a frinedly crowd and invited us to the pub afterwards, we hadn't taken any money so bring on next week. I tried to borrow some off DS1 but he'd all ready left his stick dressing course.

LIR's, re the metal.
If you have alot of scrap iron and you have a van, it can be worth you taking it down the scrappie.
If you answer a man with a van who can take it for nothing, you may be putting anything else you have at risk, as often these guys have a good look around at what you have extra to what they are picking up.
There is no easy answer I'm afraid, borrow a trailer is the best I can advise, take it down already sorted out, stainless one time and iron the next, clean copper is also worth a fortune if you separate it out.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
:rotfl: You'll all scare the wits out of LIR. Are you all talking about reputable clearing companies or just some guy with a van?
The guys I had are licensed & have been in business for years.
They'd never stay in business in a close-knit area like this if they were looking for other pickings. Word travels fast if anyone is dodgy.0 -

Sigh. Ok. I get the message.there is stuff about i cannot make invisable......things like the roof tiles. Tbh, i am amazed our roof wasnot stripped while the house was empty
. I'll have to live with it for a bit longer till we can sort something out. There is a bit of copper, but not very much. A pipe or two somewhere in the mess.0 -

Well, not so wrongly probably with the scare stories. While the place was empty the manhole covers were taken and as i cross posted with you, we have some stuff of value which is effectipvely sitting rotting and tbh a 'motovated reclaimer' might feel obliged to be lightfingered. We get a lot of people 'having a look' and i should perhaps be wary aout inviting more onto myself. I am just fed up of junk.0 -
