Weather? I'm in the Doldrums, or maybe the dog house!
After sitting here for days, sorting out & logging our receipts and spending hours trying to understand if a polytunnel is plant or building, (it depends on various things....in our case a building) or whether it's OK to claim for fencing if it replaces existing fences, I've fallen at the first hurdle.......I completely forgot to register the business with HMRC!
We're registered as individuals to file online, and they know we're in a partnership, but somehow nothing happened as regards telling 'em what it is! I can't get through to anyone on the 'phone either, so there's no quick way to get the ball rolling....
Ah well, worse things happen, but it probably means we shall be filing late and paying a £100 to George. That's maybe not so bad, as he already owes DW more than £1k and it'll be much more than that when we do submit!
Otherwise, it's been a lovely day here, without yesterday's biting wind.0 -
We head forgotten the date daVesnave. And heard it on the radio last night, meaning I couldn't sleep for worry. The accountant said today its all done and I shouldn't worry so much..... It's hard letting go sometimes!0

That happened to me with Youtube; my forgotten password is linked to a dead email account, so I must become someone else. Speaking of which.....(no relevance to this thread whatever!)

I feel your pain. I was on hold for so long the other day the phone ran out of charge!! We've forgotten to register as a partnership but the accountant is going to treat me as an employee again and sort the paperwork out afterwards.

On hold???? You were lucky! :money:(4 Yorkshiremen sketch coming up!)
Today they said they were all busy with other customers and that letters would probably not be responded to until after 31st. Then, "Goodbye...."
Oh, there was something about there having been some industrial action too.
We are registered as partners, but it's going to be tricky doing the partnership part of the forms without the calculations for the non -existent partnership.
Ah, but I have a cunning plan!0 -

I am always surprised when people detest the smell of lavender. It's gorgeous, clean and warm.
Now dont get me wrong, I love lavender and have 2 beds full of the plants
So in another of my Trotter Enterprises moments, I cut large bunches of the flowering heads and hung them to dry in the utility room. Time came to remove the flower heads for pot pourri and I started to get a reasonable amount by rolling the stems between my hands.
Then I sneezed, and sneezed, then sneezed a lot more until my nose blew off.
Lavender :eek:0 -
