Flip is that time of the year again choille, it has gone sooooooooo quick.. sorry will not be able to light a fire, but i will light a fag:D

I just had the (probably) last cig of the day hanging out of the kitchen bifold in honour of the sun returning to Choille. Saw the north star, the plough, and Orion's belt. :) Spoke to the universe that I hope Choille gets into her new home and out of her caravan before next winter.

Dear Choille, hope you are feeling better and less fally-overy! My best wishes to you from cold and frosty Liverpool!

Oh one more question (well for this evening :rotfl:). I am keen to have a lavender hedge, like Maggies? Just wondered if it is easy to grow from seed or if I should go for plug plants?

I started with just a few plants & took cuttings.
I've never tried growing lavender from seed.
Something in the back of the brain is saying I've heard it's not easy to do.

Alfie, I just measured dog dog and your very lovely coat is too small for her. Freakishly huge thing that she is. Thank you so much anyway :(

So they do!:o I only looked at the polytunnel metal-framed stuff and then thought, "That's no good, I want paths down the sides." Anyway, I bought 60' of aluminium stuff second hand.

The price on that looks good. :)

I grew lavender from seed because I didn't trust myself to succeed with cuttings from "a plant that came over from France with Mary Queen of Scots." ( :rotfl:) However, a couple of cuttings took, so I have Mary's original lavender () and a few seedlings that came out much the same, or in fact, better. :D

But lavender from seed is verrrrrrry s-l-o-w, so plants will be wee in their first winter.
