Turn my back and there's another 80 posts on here
Davesnave..congrats to DD2! Two DDs of mine now married, expensive things weddings! And barns are great for wedding receptions (two birds with one stone?)
Alfie, selling your car?? Dont you need it to get around? And a shindig next year, sounds great, guests to bring the goodies
Lir, Itsme, Alfie..Is Farrow and Ball the same as the Wickes trade range (mainly matt white and magnolia) thats on my walls? Good stuff that, and the white really shows off my lovely artex ceilings
Rummer, if you can afford it get someone in to do it, its so quick that way!
Had my head down using turbo lister so now have 20 items ready to upload to Ebay tomorrow night. Finally worked out how to hotlink photos off Ebay to cut out extra photo costs, coming in useful. GDs round soon for sleepover to let Mum & Dad party while me and DW relax (?) at home instead.0 -

Thank you, and to rummer, choille and lucielle. The barn is very useful, but that's why it is full of stuff, and it's not really what DD had in mind anyway.
She has done a good deal on somewhere more appropriate as this place isn't always 'nice clothes-friendly' ('specially at the moment!)
Alfie has a van. The car was just bought on a whim, I think.0 -
Just had this vision of an Amish style barn raising (as in Witness) with a wedding hoe down to follow
Alfie, if you're selling your car I think its £15 on Ebay classifieds with no other fees to pay. Not sure I'd sell a car on Ebay auctions.
Edit: Sold my sons Golf via Ebay classifieds, worked fine.0 -

Wickes Trade White is exactly what we use on all our 'new' plaster walls. It's brilliant stuff & great when you have to do a quick touch-up (don't you dare - Dave or alfie) behind clumsy visitors etc.
Personally, I wouldn't pay for F&B but many people really like them. If we want colour & texture we use limewash & mix our colours.0 -
I finally got around to skinning those pheasants, added another, and they're now in the Aga, so it looks like we shall start the evening's festivities with a little game!
No idea what happens after, but in case I'm not around, or capable, I'll just say
Happy New Year To All Day-Dreamers!May 2012 bring you all closer to your personal goals.0 -

its also the rquirement for us outside if we want anything other than brilliant white or black: our area's listing must get an Fand B bung, lol.
Mixing up lime to choice sounds fun, a much nicer way to get colour...but then those must be hard to touch up, unlike the brilliant white?0 -
What a year!
Sorry I haven't always been able to respond in the most personal way what with refereeing the kids and such like, but glad I "met" all you guys. My experiences this year of "country types" has restored my trust in human nature. I had been a London lawyer for too long!!!
I've now downed a glass of red £3,49 from Aldi (very nice too) and a glass of Pinot fizz from the same and I doubt I'll reemerge after puttin the gilrs to beed so my New Year's Eve will be an early one.
Love and laughter to you all. Live the Daydream, eh?0
