a note while I remember to say I will not be online for a while soon. I killed both my ailing laptops a couple of weeks ago and when dh goes back to work won't have access to one for a while. so no one worry.0

noooooooooooo !!:( my daily dose of LIR will be denied...i may get severe withdrawl symptoms and never be the same again ...

dunno. with dh being unhappy at work and looking for another job, we thinkit possible he might have a few weeks between jobs at some point soon. now the car to fix, plus builders to pay and hopefully crack on with work.....
I just don't think I can reasonably prioritise an IT spend ATM.I'm not going to bother having the laptops fixed by it...they only last a couple of weeks each time resusitated.
Might be no time at all, if one of the dead ones limps on again, but might be a few weeks.0 -
expensive but farrow and ball colors are very nice
but also if you see a color you like, get a tester pot, paint something then take that to a shop to get a color match paint made up and walla...half the price paint !!:D
Dunno what is going on in the High Street. It's Friday night, pubs chucking out & I was woken by what sounded like an oink, but thought I must have been dreaming. Now I've just heard hooves & definitely not dreaming!0 -
Feel guilty about coming on & reading all your posts & not responding other than whingeing on about how wet & windy it is again & again & again.
Alfie I think loads are waiting on free listing days but none appearing so far - there was a load in November & early December & that may be it for a while. I really look for themm soon.
The ground is completely saturated & am letting the sheep roam down into the bottom field as the top one is water logged. It's officail - was announced that it's the wettest year on record for us - not that we needed to be told in a way.
Just sitting most of the time yet feel all stiff & back achey.
I plan to do the beds with sea weed soon as I haven't done that for a couple of years. There's so much water everywhere it's scary. We should be building an ark.
Two beds I planted near the house are too near - I riddled all the soil, but will have to do away with them as they're shadowed now the walls & stuff are built - you'd have thought would have realised that at the time - DOH!
I seem to be doing a load of sleeping - mid-winter hibernation sets in.0 -
Whinge away, choille.
We haven't had it anything like as bad as you but day after day of miserable weather (if not actually raining it's looking like it's about to) is getting thoroughly depressing. DH & I were trying to work out the last time we saw sun. We're pretty sure it was before Christmas.
Having to redo the beds is a bind. As you've worked hard on them (riddling) is there nothing you could plant there?0 -

He's painted all his rooms in lovely pastel colours. Like!
Our whole house is painted white. The play of light on it alters it all the time. In summer the back bedroom becomes green from the reflected light from the trees, but our front bedroom is more creamy with the sun shining in (faces South West). It was done as an easy fix and to seal the plaster, but looks so good I think we'll probably keep it.0 -
No It was daft of me putting them where they are & I think I want gravel around the house instead of mud!
Black cat has just come in soaking wet, must dry him off before he climbs into bed when I go.0 -
Just replied to the Take a Look at This thread, and thought you lot might have a giggle at my response to the estate agent's blurb. Fun to see somewhere I know on that thread! :j :rotfl:
