Brilliant link - love street art.

LIR - I hate it when folks go, Oh, sheep/hens etc are realy stupid - No they aren't.
My tabby cat follows me & looks at my face for signs, he is the smartest cat as tabbies are. Huge subject.

Pouring down again & inky black out.

Happy shortest day all. Too wet for a bonfire though - gone really mild - twelve degrees!
i would like to think my owm form of celebration was in honor of choille and her longest day.... sorry shortest day !

Except that this year the shortest day is today. ;)

It varies. I didn't know that until recently, but I doubt it matters much anyway. Certainly, if you didn't know, you can't be accountable for celebrating on the wrong day. :)

Tried to find a guinea fowl at another farmers' market yesterday, but failed. :( Settled for a very large free range chicken instead. Still, there's time to find the GF yet.

Not feeling very good today, which is a pity, because we are meeting DD1's future in-laws. The wedding has put back our plans for doing-up this place, but I don't think it would be wise to attempt both simultaneously. Have instructed other DD that if she wants to marry any time soon, it will have to be Gretna Green!

Haven't posted antique/vintage item images for a while but as a pre Christmas quiz (to which I dont know the answers!!), can you identify these ethnographic carvings to tribe/island, probably all from Oceania but a bit more precision required :)

    Boy riding fish

    30cm figure

    18cm figure

Edit: Always felt nervous about meeting the inlaws, it felt a bit like which parents are best :(

Oh no is she ok? Why do they never drop their rugs near the gate?

she's ok, but she was a bit scared. She let be put the relatively undamaged rug back on though. She wrecked one last year and injured herself quite badly getting caught on something. usually apart from messing up the chest area on barbed wire she's good with rugs, but we are going through them quickly now. she seems itchy a lot too :(

she's a hulking great thing, but depsite sappearances a sensitive little flower who would rather live in a stable and certainly wouldn't cope without a rug....which is a great shame.
