ALL the time with no deaths ???? have they built up a tolerance i wonder ???
Its a cumulative effect I believe. so....might just die earlier in life than they otherwise would....we fence our oaks off, but one blighter has got the tase and keeps jumping in with them. Not much you can do bar keep them off the land with acorns once they have the taste IME.
I think the pigs on the forest are meant to keep the balance tolerable.0 -
Always good to get dentist stuff over & done with.
Gone really, really cold today after yesterday's 17oC - frost this morning & wet yet again. Watching Homes From Hell.0 -
there is such a glut of acorns this year! the forest pigs ,of which i personally have seen ONE,are supposed to have been doubled to cope [now 90] iv shut off the strip that has the acorns in in our fields. then we wack the sit on mower over to hoover em all up...0

Don't ducks eat acorns?
Can't you let Mabel eat them Alfie?
Got a clothes airer up to dry the washing - like a room divider ......in a caravan! - Once we get the house done I'll only be able to cling to the walls - I'll be scared of all that space..........................0 -

Annoyed but not surprised. Bid on a cabinet on ebay (and won) - no other bidders so price was peanuts. Now, after auction ended, seller says start price was a mistake and of course he won't sell at that price. So I've negged him, first time I've done that. Wont pursue via Ebay as I've no wish to deal with the guy any further.
Off to auction this morning, will bid on some china and glass lots, wish me luck.0 -
