You're having what we've just had. (Hence I have been on here a bit today!) Better stuff on the way, especially for tomorrow & the weekend.0 -

so...I bought half a dozen pullets today, to try some new breeds two Aracuna pullets and one each of: rhode island red, kraienkoppe, sicilian buttercup (have wanting these for a long time), and a welsummer. I'm particularly pinning hopes on the buttercup.0

It's free ebay listing this weekend so that'll keep me quite. Been in the shed & after initial freak out - 'how did things get this messy......etc' sorted some more stuff out to list & chuck - made up boxes of clean jam jars that'll go outside the wee shop for folks that need them.
Why do I keep three odd red deer antlers? - I feel a listing coming on.
Had the wee chicks out on the grass earlier on but they started to get eaten by midgies so put hem back in - what a shame. That's there first day out in the air & they were gobsmaked - I love watching them taking it all in.
We have joiners coming this Saturday if it stays fair - yipee. How am I gonna find the money to pay em? EEKkkkkkkkkkk:eek:0 -

Never heard of kraienkoppe, so will have to Google. Our Welsummers are boring, but they go to bed on time and don't have 'issues,' so that's boringly well-behaved, really.
Our regular broody Dorking has just escaped from the isolation pen, where she's supposed to be being bored out of it. She was last seen dust bathing half way down the garden, so maybe just as good a disincentive. That's the third time she's escaped from there.0
