Yesturday was very productive.. and got quite a bit done and organised...

We phoned a local scrappy and he came over to give us a price for all the dead cars and van outside our house... even my trike project... :o in reality we are like the hill-billies, so having a right blitz... We told 2 of our neighbours that we had put a bid in on some land, but was unsucessfull..... should have seen the look on their faces:rotfl:( didnt say we were selling though;)) they must be dusting down the bunting for the day we leave....lol...

As in reality we are the neighbours you would hate to live next door too
colder and overcast today....but still going to try and do a bit in the garden....

So are we :rotfl::rotfl:our focus is so much on growing veggies that our front garden is often a total riot! To make it better this year and to reduce the weeds I am going to plant pretty veggies it it so that should keep them happy. They are lovely though and never complain :D.

Raining here again today, I am getting so bored of rain, rain, rain and more rain! I know I should be out there regardless of the weather but I just don't want too :o

Quite a few years ago one of hte neighbours jokingly said we were the gypo's up the other end.... well we just had to make sure we lived up to our name;)

annoying neighbours is our specialty:D, but enough is enough now, as its getting my nerves now:rotfl:

We didn't worry about our untidy neighbours in Bath, until the time came for us to sell. Unfortunately, having a rusting VW-hippie project-wagon + old cars & motor bikes on the drive on one side and a hay field with the odd rose popping out of it on the other, made some potential viewers get back into their cars and 'forget' to call.:(

I wanted to put up notices which said:
    "They're lovely really....teacher and nurse, honest!" :)
    and
    "Divorced accountant, not into gardening.":D

In reality with us, once you are our friend, we will do anything for you, even give you our last penny if it would help, but we are not into neighbourly gossip over hte fence, or 'popping' into each others houses for a cupa every day etc.... just not us at all, basically leave us alone, but if you need anything we will help..

that was one of the reasons why we moved here, only 4 houses and only neighbours on one side of us...:rotfl:

the next door neighbours nets are 'twitchng' allready:rotfl: wondering what we are up too....nosey gits....

whenever we have friends round, we alllways stay outside because we have a large dog, who is a pain in the butt, jumping up etc... and within a few mins of our friends turning up, they come outside and 'tinker' in their garden or with one of their cars, so flipping obvious they are nosing.....lol...

its an in joke now with our friends, we have bets on how long it will take then to come out of their house.. normally under the 3 minute mark:rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
zarazara, I saw little dark lambs this morning, how nice to see some more. Very pretty. I like lambs...its just sheep I'm not so fussed on!

Another new discovery....after finding violets in the grass last week today over in ''the white garden'' we've started planting, how amazing to find white violets.....a little unnerving even! As if there has been a white garden there before....we had drifts of snow drops too.

Tired tonight....mainly pottering and sweeping though. Things are growing....budding up.

I want to be making as much difference as the davesnave duo. What a team they make. :)

Zarazara, lovely lambs, it is always so nice to see them at the start of spring!

I am in awe at the amount of work you and you wife have done Dave, if only my OH was as into gardening as I am then I think we would have a fabulous garden, as it is I have to beg and bribe him to do any work. Although he is responsible for the bulk of the pea and raspberry consumption in the house and would be the first to moan if there were none to pinch!

After reading the thread about number of plants to grow to feed a family I am feeling a bit inadequate in relation to my little patch of garden. Measurement wise it is about the size of a standard allotment but I am reluctant to have it looking like one so have a combination of large beds and raised beds with a substantial bit of lawn atm. The plan is to reduce the size of the lawn year on year so we are building up gradually which is a sensible if frustrating plan!

My dad often says I am like a Queen song "I want it all, and I want it NOW"

ooo lovely lambs.... what breed are they? when you see lambs in the field, you know spring is on its way...talking of lambs i wonder if 'lamb watch' will be on again this year, i loved watching it last year...

LIR.. a bit spooky about the white garden... but then again, maybe it just shows this property was ment for you, as you are thinking the same way as a previous owner...make sure you put your feet up tonight...as it sounds as though you have been doing loads..
