  • pitty we couldnt exchange details, as i get a few wax jackets in, including barbour and dry-as-a-bone ones, and the long riding ones..

    Its been piddling it down here all day, and snowing about 2 miles up the road:rotfl:It has been really cold too, havent really warmed up since i came home from work..

    I really should be thinking of getting some seed potatoes, but to be honest i just havent been in the zone lately...

    stroll on spring, hope it comes early, as i am really fed up of this long cold winter...which know in my luck will carry on until
    August:eek::rotfl:

    I heard about the egg thing too on the news.... something about the food being contaminated and fed to the chickens, who laid the eggs, which then were processed, which then got sent here from germany, which then went into our cakes...

    Hubby and i were talking about it earlier, the only way you can make sure where you food comes from and what is in or on it, is to grow and rear it yourself.

    Is anyone on facebook? as there is a group on there about the fuel prices, something about dont ( boycott) buying fuel on fridays and saturdays... and they were saying the next stage will be demonsrations..
    i think its called 'keep fuel below a £'

    here we go a link above, when i looked at it earlier there was 175k members now its gone up to over 181k

    It will prob mount to nothing, but at least it will show the governemt we are piddled off with fuel prices, amoungst other things

    I like the first one best. MiL has it between the cobblestones in her courtyard, so I obtain my seed there.:)

    The first one is pretty. I've either never smelled or can't remember the scent of evening primrose.

    And I wouldn't mind if Californian poppies took over here. Not a bit.:o

    I think the scent is subtle and, As RAS says, they are attractive to moths, so open in the early evening and look best then.

    Best scent is night scented stock, but they are scrappy-looking things. We do an old fashioned white stock, which is a short lived perennial and still pretty powerful scent-wise.

    That's it. Not much to look at when it's not flowering and it needs pinching-out to get multiple heads. It also lives longer if the seed heads are removed. :)
