Started snowing here this morning and now it's snowing like the clappers, had more than 6 inches just since 8 O'clock. Until now we pretty much escaped but now cars are sliding about on the road and I'm afraid I'll have to get my skis out to feed the horse this evening (4 and a half miles, half over quiet country roads). Apart from that it would be fun to stay in and watch the birds outside.0

We have snow here again although it doesn't look as if it will get too bad. I really wanted to get some things from the shops today but I can't be bothered trailing through the snow!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Hubby has just phoned, he is having a look around in swansea for xmas pressies... he normally hates shopping, but as he said the city centre is like a ghost town...lol..
Just cant get into the swing of things.... just keep on watching my chickens and ducks in the snow....
I need to find someone asap who can design a website for me... i have signed up to 123 reg got a domain name etc, I have tried doing a website from one of hteir templates, but its just going wrong...lol..
I need someone who can design the website from scratch, with a shopping cart etc....
In the next few weeks i am going to have to get hold of every penny i can...

Think i might get the batteries on charge for the camera, and start doing some listings on turbo lister, ready to list in the new year....or after all this snow disruption has gone.....lol...Work to live= not live to work0 -
When you've found out how to add a shopping cart let me know!
Anyhow, early morning at Chez Rhiw after the snow:0 -
Beautiful rhiwfield.
The road is polished shiny & lethal to walk on. But a guy in a 4x4 gave me a lift most of the way so that helped.
People complaining about having to grit their own road - I don't know why people think they should have preferential treatment.
They do expect am awful lot - it was well forecast ahead.0 -

This annoys me too. No one wants to have anything cut, or taxes raised but wants more for less money. I'd rather pay less in tax and use the money to put into local goods and services....that way as wellas buying my own grit I could pay someone to help me spread it!0 -
They are battling to keep the main routes open but can't be expected to do all the off shoots.
This couple are young & have fit kids, but expect miracles. They complained so much the gritter diverted from a main route to do 'their' road. Thing is they passed me & didn't offer me a lift. They are all indignant in the shop - set off again & offered no one a lift, but I got one from someone else.
Last year was really bad & did go on an awful long time it got scary with animal feed as you had to use so much as the ice was really thick. Today walking up the roadside there are patches that have been 'dug' by the deer - so they are managing to get down to the grass - last year that was impossible. There were an awful lot of bad scenarios for domestic & wild animals. Normally the weather doesn't come in as early as it has this year. Supposed to thaw thursday & then come in hard again at the weekend.0 -

That's the thing, its so early...plenty of time for things to get as bad as last year. Its a nice change of pace of life ....if you have your supplies ..if you don't its terrifying.
what rude people to not offer a lift or phone neighbours. Last year I was full time employed going out to get stuff for people with no 4x4.0 -
We always phone a couple who live nearby at this time of year to see what they need brought & to check they are okay.
I think some people just don't think.
Amazingly cat's medicine arrived through the post & a letter that was posted on the 3rd Dec!!!!0 -

TBF haven'toffered help to anyone other than my clients this year...as don't know anyone.
we're off to a party tonight...before coming back to check hay etcand to be honest I'm dreading it. I'm panicking about where we'll park, and whether I'll be able to walk in heels or not and how to slip out without staying to long without seeming rude and whether the amount of make up I wear is ''too much''(well I know it it really), and that my nails look a mess, I have roots deeper than the snow and bags under my eyes big enough to pack our emergency snow kit in and I'm not sure I have a pair of tights that fit.
I'm becoming really antisocial,I just want to stay in,stay warm and when DH is home have a cuddle. But its a very kind invite from people who are kind enough to ask new neighbours and its important we meet and make contacts with people.0
