To be honest Becky it felt totally unatural at first until I relaxed into it....he told me to lengthen my stride and it felt so much better, I no longer seem to hunch up when I am going down hills (and there are a lot of hills near me).
I may email the instructor and ask him for his thoughts on it.

If he has done a degree in sports and whatever else it was he will have studied it all and know what he is talking about. Its not like you have been on a running weekend with someone who has never studied it and is trying to get you to do techniques that he thinks are right. Guess there must be some reason for both (not running at all and whatever this man told you sammy)though although I have no idea so not going to claim I know whats bestI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway.
