hi lenny - thanks for asking my run on the weekend was pretty good .... i was at gym on sat morning, and that coupled with 4.5miles (count 'em!) means i have been walking like russian shot putter since saturday night....

Still hurts to get in or out of a chair!

3miles to do tonight... but not going to runclub as don't have a car to get home afterwards...

company mercedes over the weekend was absolutely devine! but don't want to take advantage and use it again today, when i can get lift home from lad who lives near me...

will run in village instead, which means three quarters of a mile of streetlit area x 4 to get 3 miles in... i hate repetitive running... my brain thinks i'm finished when i'm not! and that's not good for me...!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Well done Maz on the miles......tonight if you are doing circuits make it a bit more interesting and do threshold runs.....:rotfl:

(sorry, must stop talking about running.....sorry)

I too am walking slightly dodgy due to 10k run at weekend...although thoroughly enjoyed it (afterwards)!

I have now decided I have some kind of bipolar disorder...I spent most of last week in the depths of despair for no particular reason...today I am like bluddy tigger and can't stop...have been hoovering up pretending to be Kelly Clarkson....I feel I am going to crash soon...

Lenny.....procrastinating....is doing everything and anything except the one thing you know will make your life easier.

My procrastinating is avoiding the thing that will make my life harder.

At the risk of boring the thread... my repeat circuit tonight will be hilly so not going to blow myself up entirely by adding threshold running into the mix... but useful to know for the weekend when 4.5mile route is quite boring.....

i felt like Forrest Gump at one point when a whole mile of wide open road was in front of me...

Then i thought of Erin geeing me on by shouting "run fat mum, run!!"

    charming eh!

Oh even better Maz you can do hill runs then....:rotfl: :rotfl:

Run up them slowly but down really fast! instead of giving it your all on the way up and recovering on the way down.....weird but wonderful....and knackering.

:rotfl: erin doesn't really shout that does she Maz...:rotfl:

Quick question do you know what the course is like in Leeds, is it hilly at all or is it flat....

Right, cleaned up dear son's room a bit - and by dear son I mean disgusting, stinky, hideous little scrote!
There are sewer rats and weasels that wouldn't enter his bedroom without demanding SARS approved breathing apparatus and radiation protection suits.

I've opened his window for a bit of fresh air, hot washed his bedding and cleared out the plates, cups, bowls, crisp packets, sweet wrappers, chewing gum, toenail clippings, unidentified bacteria and fungi, broken parts of hot wheels, half sucked jaw breakers.

Oh my god he's only 11, what the hell is it going to be like when he's a true teenager?
