Thanks Sunny, I am not sure it would make any difference if she goes up earlier either , and she is not too happy with it  , but I want to see her looking fresh like she used to, so we will try it for a while and see what happens, thanks for the reply, its interesting to compare xx

Have they mentioned grommets? That may be the next step to help her....

well that's what i'm hoping for - this will be her fourth set. the difference they make is amazing - LOL the first time she had them we knew her hearing had improved cos she heard me trump and was all amazed "was that you? - can ladies do that then?" :o

I do get upset by this - it takes ages to get the surgery and when she gets it she's good for about 6 months. There are signs of permanent damage to her eardrums from the infections but until she gets rid of the "glue" there's no telling how bad it is. There's no extra help or money as her condition is "temporary" and she is supposed to have grown out of it by now.

    ho hum onwards and upwards

    fairy elephant - hugs

cupboards are done and the boiler man has been so i'm going to sit down with "macbeth" and some hardanger - have a good afternoon
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Hi gang,
just heard from my pal in Dartford that she has managed to find us a cottage for a week in Hope, nr Sheffield in April. We are going there to do some digging up of her family tree. Plus of course a visit to Chatsworth might be on the cards as well. She looks like she's found a smashing place, as it has a heated indoor pool as well, so if the weather is ropey at least we can swim every day.Her husband often has disappear abroad, as he works in the flight industry so we usually have a week away in the countryside pottering.
Anyone know of where else we can visit whilst there, I have never been to the area so I'm hoping we can find some nice tea-shops and the occasional pub (for lunch of course);) .
Hope the weather brightens up a bit, last year we went to Norfolk and had some very wet weather, still its a break and a fairly cheap one as well:j
    Roll on April

Taplady - Sorry you had a fright with a frog. Same thing happened to my father over the weekend except that when he emptied his watering can the frog happily hopped away. Though I guess that was tactless to say as I am now reading you have a phobia about them - sorry hon. unsure.gif

thats ok - I dont mind reading about them,:D not too keen on pics though - DH knocked on the window and held it up to show me it was dead:eek: _pale_

Halight - we're growing our own veggies too, got a huge garden luckily, DH does it all and I just cook them;)

Redruby - my eldest DH had a lot of problems at aged 16 with his sleeping but has grown out of it - he cant get enough now:rolleyes: but now the youngest is having similar problems. We tried most things including lavender and it sorted itself out eventually.
    Do what you love :happyhear

Hi, hope everyone's feeling ok today!! ((Hugs)) to those who need one!

Hope no-one's offended that I don't mention them by name. I usually end up speed reading the thread but love the inspiration I get from you lovely ladies (& men of course!!! ;) )

Had a quick fly round, had soup for lunch, LO chicken with HM bubble & squeak from leftover veg tonight.

Everyone seems to be talking about lemon drizzle cake! I've had a quick search and there seems to be several recipes on the forum. Did someone on here post one recently?

While I'm talking about recipes has anyone got a recipe for moussaka. I've got fresh lamb mince and aubergines so far. Didn't realise how expensive it would be  but I promised a friend I would make one after we ate out at a Greek restaurant a few weeks ago!
