Have not had internet access for a couple of days as DH moved the computer and rearranged the room, then could not put things back together again.
Ended up going to Tesco to buy another router and then he spent most of yesterday trying to sort thngs out.
Seem to have caught a virus and spent most of yesterday in bed.
Got up today feeling a bit better so made a breakfast frittata for DD and DH before they left, made a couple of home made tortillas for DD's packed lunch put washing machine on, loaded the dishwasher, then came on here to say Hello.
Feel lightheaded now so going back to bed for an hour to see if that helps.
Hugs to everybody
Good luck wih the jobsearch to halight and Snowy

Morning all!
Sunny I have been MIA for a coupla days as Saturday was the football and as for Sunday I had a trip over an old guys leg at the match and fell slap bang on the terracing on my behind resulting in a very sore right buttock so could not get comfy and wasn't really up to sitting on the hard garden chair that we use for the PC.
Will be back later as I have to shower, send a book off that I sold on Green Metropolis, wander to Sainsburys for a coupla bits and then jobsearchWhat Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Morning Chums, well the sun is shining although a little nippy at the moment .just going to pop to the shops for some wrapping paper for DGD's birthday present for tomorrow .Had the plumber arrive this morning and he relieved me of £96.00, but to be fair he was very good and replaced to tap fittings with levers so I can turn them on and off more easily. My loo had been dripping from the over flo for quite awhile and it was driving me nuts and he repaired that as well so although a bill was not the first thing I wanted on a Monday morning its a job well done and I am pleased that its all sorted .I live in the Medway area, and our local council have a Medway Fairtrader scheme which ensures that you get a good job completed at a fair price. This is the second time I have used the fairtrader scheme and I am happy that it does what it says on the tin.No 'cowboys ' with exhorbitant bills.
Well my granddaughter Katie is sweet sixteen tomorrow and it seems only five minutes ago she was playing with barbie dolls and on her scooter where does the time fly too I wonder. She is hoping to get a college place in September depending on her results and want to go into nursing, I think she will make a good nurse as she is quite caring and hard working.
Time to toddle as I must get a wriggle on
take care all and have a good week

Morning :hello:
Happy Birthday Redruby :bdaycake:
I've just got back from having my (fasting) blood tests and I'm STARVING, I'm demolishing a banana and Twirl as I type and glugging lots of coffee. The last lot of results showed a low glucose level - not sure how that's possible with the amount of choc I eat :rotfl:
I need to swish the kitchen and bathroom and clean out the rabbit. That's all I'm doing today, saturday afternoons are usually reserved for me (by myself, to do whatever I want) and as master tru messed the last one up, I'm having this afternoon insteadBulletproof0 -

When I pruned my rosemary last year I pulled the bottom inch or so of leaves off the longer ones & planted them in a small pot with potting compost in, about 5 or 6 to a pot. They didn't look to be doing much for a few weeks but we now have 5 extra rosemary bushesI gave 4 to my parents and they're now established in their garden looking lovely. Another thing I do to liven up a bunch of flowers is to cut some rosemary sprigs & arrange them in the vase with the flowers. It looks pretty & the smell is gorgeous! I'm also sure that you could wash the prunings, strip off the leaves & freeze in ice cube trays. Good grief I've waffled on about rosemary :rotfl:

Morning OS friends!
Wow, gorgeous looking day today. Really sunny out of the window. However I made the mistake of opening the bedroom window and was nearly blown off my feet - it's a tad windy!
Squiggly - I bought mostly food smelling Yankee candles lol... vanilla frosting, moms apple pie etc. I don't like the roses one but I did buy a Tahitian Tiare flower and also blackberry one that I am burning right now and is really delicious smelling.
lucy*locket - welcome to the thread honey! You will love it here.
meanmarie - no roast chicken here, we eat it less since only buying free range and I do miss it, I love it but since trying the free range I wouldn't go back to the chicken we used to eat.
Halight - sorry you aren't feeling well - hope you will go and see the Dr and get checked out. Better safe than sorry. Oh and I grow what few veg I can all in pots too as I don't have a lot of garden space. Last year I grew peppers, tomatoes, chillis, radishes, salad leaves, strawberries and baby carrots, all in tubs and pots. It was a lot of fun and very rewarding!
Taplady - Sorry you had a fright with a frog. Same thing happened to my father over the weekend except that when he emptied his watering can the frog happily hopped away. Though I guess that was tactless to say as I am now reading you have a phobia about them - sorry hon.
Have a different home help lady coming today which means I have to be out of my jammies and actually put a bit of make up so I don't scare her too much! Hope she is nice. Some of the replacement ladies I have when my usual help is on holiday can be a bit brusque.
We have one lot of washing out on the line already and the WM is just finishing the spin cycle so that lot can go out too. Lunch will be cold sausage sandwiches left over from yesterday for the OH and cheese and crackers for me. Have an idea about dinner but my OH is going to the supermarket so he might come home with a 'bargain'.
Treacle the fat cat is basking in the sunshine on the windowsill which to me is the eipitome of happiness. I so want to be a cat in my next lifetime!
Warm gentle hugsto anyone who needs them or wants them. Have a good day everyone.
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
