Aren't they just ordinary sponge with food colouring added. I used to make a chocolate marble cake and you just make the cake as normal, then split it to add the cocoa powder and then put in tins in blobs of each so that when they cook they all mix together. To do the rainbow would be the same idea but you would add food colouring of your choice. If practice makes perfect, and nobody is perfect....................................
Why practice!:T0 -

If yours is not here there's still a chance that someone will know how to make this one.

Mint custard? Don't think we ever had THAT one. Mind you I started school in the mid 50's and left late 70's - pink or chocolate were considered exotic at my school!
But we DID have the prunes with stones in - often served with custard or sometimes with rice pudding. They didn't bother me at all - my grandmother served those up twice a week anyway - midweek puddings were always stewed fruit of one kind or another - prunes/apples/rhubarb/apricots etc.0 -
