congratulations on all your efforts so far, bet in your pre-LBM days you would have spent more on the quick meals and take-aways. It's good that you faced up and calculated how much you have actually spent.

On a slightly different note, what is the July deadline for Quidco/Paypal?

Hello Tondella (love your user name by the way!)

I am sure I spent a lot more prior to MSE as I used to be overdrawn every month! Funnily enough I was £3 in credit before the last payday :D

I am sorry I was confusing. July is the deadline for my 0% running out on my CC. I just want to pull together all resources before then and pay off as much off it as possible. Hope that makes sense now.

    Thanks

Good to see an update from you Moozie!

Well done girl, that's a huge amount to have saved :T

I'm sorry to hear that some people close to you are not well, I really hope things improve on that front. Family and health are really more important than money, aren't they, but congrats on also not going too wild with the spending in the meantime :)

phew! I'm waiting for a payment to come through from Quidco and it doesn't look like it will arrive before July, was starting to panic that there were increased handling charges from ebay or something!

I'm now starting to end the month in credit, it's an amazing feeling!

I know! It's such a fab feeling to have all my salary to play with on payday even if it's mostly going on debt repayment

    Hi Moozie,

I have read this whole thread, and cannot begin to say how proud I am of you, from that first post, and the way you sounded so desperate, to the tone of your recent posts, where you come across as being so much more confident, happy, and offering advice to fellow DFWs.

I am in a similar position to you, especially with an OH who seems to want to increase our debts monthly, and is doing a great job of it.

Keep going. You are an inspiration.

    Big hugs,

    Tim (Alty Blue)

    Thank you Alty Blue :o

I've had some personal issues recently and not been able to log on much but as I went through my figures just now, it seems that all is not lost! Something must have got embedded in me as I don't seem to be spending much outside my budget even when I think I've blown it.

Keep up the good work everyone. If I can be committed to getting those debts down four months on, anyone can do it!

    Take care x

. I agree, in fact, that when you know the amount and have a plan in place it is actually a huge weight off your mind. There's no fear like fear of the unknown!!
