I've been following this thread with interest but rarely see any bargains being picked up in London.
Does anyone know of where a Londoner can have similar success!!

I got the most gorgeous wool winter jacket from Wallis today in my favourite charity shop. It still has the tags on (£65) - for the grand total of £3.

I almost wish it was cold so I could wear it :D

Don't worry - it will be - and probably sooner than you think!

I find some brilliant bargains in CS - theres a hospice one in greenwich on same road as cinema- brilliant bargains. Also I found a remarkbale amount of good stuff in the many charity shops of barking. OUtside, Waltham abbeys pretty good for charity shopping, as is wanstead on the central line along with Chigwell & Woodford.

    ;)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

A 'proper' pashmina for £1.00 I am over the moon as I love them and would/could nver pay the £70.00-£80.00 they sell for. It's jade green.

Also a gorgeous leather bag for £3.00, tan leather with brass buckles.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

I love this thread :D, I'm always having a look to see what bargains people have got.

At the CB on Saturday I picked up a very new looking LeapPad with one book for my ED for £3. I bought one last year for a fiver with 3 books, but it didn't work properly and we ended up binning it. When I saw this one I expected the guy to say he wanted £10 for it as it came with a LeapPad backpack too and looked new. Nope, £3, and he said his daughter had hardly used it. As I walked away I looked in the bag and found 3 more books/cartridges!

So now I have a very happy 4 year old, although her one year old sister keeps trying to get a look in, much to her annoyance!

Does anyone know of any Sat boot sales in Dorset/somerset/wiltshire area?

My daughter has a party on sunday so i wont make the boot sale :( and the weather is going to be nice this weekend.

Yesterday i dragged my husband around the charity shops and picked up a Morgan Denim skirt for 2.00, Mini Boden cord trousers for 2.00 and a Fat face skirt and top for 4.00.

I could never call myself that ;) I am not a herd dweller :j

Inspired by this thread (I tend only to buy for my son at boot sales) I spent a bit more time looking for stuff for myself last week and bingo!

Got a pair of Whistles trousers for £1 (seller said they're cost £90 new), a Per Una linen skirt 50p, a M&S linen skirt 50p, a Jane Norman top £1 and two Verd Baudet tshirt and shorts sets for £1.75 (I haggled her down from £2, ridiculous really). All were lightly worn.

I never think to sell on ebay.... I have to say I've seen absolutely LOADS of designer stuff, Radley bags, designer sunglasses and clothes with designer labels or "high end" high street stuff but passed by because they're not to my liking or not the right size. Beginning to rethink now... Walked away from loads of quite gorgeous mini boden stuff from the woman with the Whistles trousers cos they were girls and I have a boy... hmmm.....

Incidentally, I'm in Sheffield and there are tons of CBs here.
  • Guess what, another Valentino bag!£2.99 this time in a gorgeous deep brown leather.A butler and wilson bag for £4,a planet dress for £5 and a Jasper conran dress for £6.99.
