weather is looking good for tomorrow!
Had a great week last week and made a few pound on e-bay, i must start clearing my house of clutter to make way for more.0 -
I have a sneaky plan to avoid getting harrased by the dealers, as soon as i get there we lock up the car have a look round at the other stalls for a while and then when we go back to start setting up our stall all the dealers have moved on to harass the new latest car which has arrived works every time and means i get to have a good look round before I start!!
Great idea - that's exactly what we do and it works a treat!! I get fed up being harrassed by dealers & collectors as soon as you pull up on your pitch. I've even had someone open my boot themselves before I've even got out of the drivers seat!! Needless to say they got short shrift from me and told to b8888r off!:D£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Well, we did a boot sale today at the local pub. The pitches were free but sadly the landlord didn't bother advertising (despite promising to).
Bit of a struggle getting there after a heavy night out and we made the sum total of £17 which will pay for a curry and a few beers later.
Had a great day, made new friends and off-loaded some clutter. Most traders ended up swapping their goods for stuff on other people's stalls.
I snaffled some spectacular vintage goodies:
1960's long suede waistcoat
1960's ladies' pigskin fitted jacket
Vintage Jaegar velvet dress
Vintage Radley cocktail dress (the label says hand-painted but nothing to say Ozzie Clark)
3 x 1970's maxi dresses (all with posh labels)
2 original 1970's Indian cotton hippy dresses
Taj Mahal scarf
6 x 1970's day dresses
1960's men's cowboy shirt
4 x yellow cotton velvet curtains
Vinegar/Honey...Nature's Secret Weapon book
Don McCullin's autobiography
Original Vinyl albums by Mamas and Papas, The Cramps, Public Image Limited and Discharge
Hope veryone else had a good day bargain hunting.0 -
The best items I ever bought from a boot fair, was a pile of brand new rubber stamps, embossing powders, ink pads etc. They were selling all the items for 20p each. Bought £5's worth and then put the majority of them on ebay (keeping a few bits for myself) and made over £50!!!:j Bought all my presents for this year (birthday and Christmas) now starting on next years!!:j0

This morning I got 2 x Thomas the Tank Engine duvet/pillowcase sets for £1 each, a lovely new black Wallis jacket/cardigan which I will keep for work next winter for £2, a cute khaki bad, looks like animal/fat face etc, but cant find any labels on it so guess it isn't, but I liked it anyway, for £1 and a pretty beaded Jane Norman top for £1 that fits me, so once again not a lot for ebay but I had a nice trip out neverthelessMortgage Total: £51,801 / £75,000
