We have a big Sunday CBS just 5 mins walk down the road from us so we count ourselves very lucky! Couple of weeks ago when it was very hot I took my kids down there about 10am. The booters had been going since 7am and were beginning to wilt in the heat so were happy to let stuff go for pennies!!

My 8-year old son was particulalry pleased with how far his pocket money went - an electronic keyboard and a CD player/radio - £1 each!! Mind you I then spent £7.50 on batteries for the keyboard...

I popped into Traid on my lunch break, they are doing a sale, £8 for dresses, jackets and leather and £4 for everything else. It usually goes down again to £2/3 after a few days.

I managed to get a gorgeous deep sea blue evening dress that has beads and sequins along the waist and a cute cream swing jacket with puff sleeves, £16 together, not a complete bargain but I love them!!

They had tons of stuff, but I have already spent over my monthly clothes allowance, im only going to buy more when its reduced again.

Next time you should try Poundland for your batteries Hezza if you have one near to you - they are doing Sony and Kodak ones in mine and they are in packs of 12!:D

Yes - definitely Poundland, the pound shop, 99p stores for batteries. You can get something like 8 AA and AAA Panasonic batteries for £1 a pack and 4 C batteries and 2 9V batteries - again a pound each.

We have rechargeables - from Aldi / Lidl - £2 for 4 but for remotes and emergencies the Pound shops cannot be beaten.

Makes me sick when you see 4 batteries in Tescos et al for £2.50 +

I bought the poundland Kodak AA batteries for my little digital camera but they were so weak there wasnt even enough power in them to switch the camera on.We put them in the TV remote instead and they worked for 2 weeks.I have had sony batteries from argos before and they did last a while.

Most batches from Poundland I have found to be just as good as any other although I did have a duff pack a couple of weeks ago. Bought two and the other pack was ok. Worth keeping in the drawers

Monsoon, Per Una, Topshop, River Island, Laura Ashley are high street brands that generally sell well on Ebay. I sold 2 L K Bennett silk scarves for around £10 each so worth looking out for. Also clothes for the larger lady such as Evans, New Look Inspire.
