Lots of bargains today, you lucky people (it's rained here all day).

I agree more people seem to cottoning on to boot sales, the two I go to seem much busier these days. I've noticed far more dealers/early shoppers swarming around cars as they arrive, they can be quite pushy too, but I guess it's a sign of the times, we're all looking for that bargain after all. Having said that most of my friends & colleagues don't go regularly or wouldn't be seen dead at one so I think we'll still find plenty of great stuff.

My work colleagues just don't get my obsession with boot sales, one says she couldn't touch clothing worn by someone else, another finds the thought of looking through other people's stuff quite disgusting ( she is very OCD about cleanliness). One or two wander down for a browse mid-morning and don't usually find very much so think boot sales are just full of junk. I tell them that's because all the good stuff is snapped up before 8am but they couldn't be bothered to get up at 6am on a Sunday, their loss my gain:D

Very excited, got an email today about a vintage clothing, homeware and textiles fair happening in a village near me on Saturday. Can't wait to discover some treasures (hopefully)!

Well... you'd think, but actually lots of genuine vintage dealers go to these fairs - there's lots of Victorian costume, 60s furniture and fabrics from all manner of periods! It's really good fun as people get dressed up and really get into the spirit.
