My mam has this book which she bought when she used to get milk delivered years ago. The Dairy Book of Home Management, and the Editor was Neil Tennant of The Pet Shop Boys.

Well I've set my tv to switch to it tomorrow night as I'm quite interested/intrigued and to be honest anything that helps motivate me when it comes to keeping house is good. :)

I could be so anal at work and every bit of stationery had its own place but my house on the other hand is a complete state, I haven't worked up to a long term motivation/keeping it tidy plan as yet but I'm getting there especially with the help of OS.

I found organized home website this morning and already have a daily to do list printed and full so perhaps I'll stop posting and do a couple of things on the list lol. :)

Well done Dora - I never watch these programmes - they either make me feel inadequate or else infurated. I do what I can, when I can and I use OS methods and materials. I look at it as being disorganised rather than messy and dirty. If anyone in my house has a problem - let them do it! (they don't do it - and they don't complain!)

My family are happy and healthy. I work full time plus I do lots of church work at evening and weekends. If I have visitors, I think that they have come to see ME and not my house.

    Cheers

I just bought that book from the local Red Cross Shop for 50p (their books are on BOGOF in my local one so I'm always in there when I'm in the area getting books :o ).

I hope I'm not that boring, my house is quite tidy 90% of the time (usually the weekends and school holidays is the only time it goes 'to pot' ) but then I'm a SAHM and my daughter is at school all day so I have the time to keep it clean and tidy...even if I can spend hours here :o

This made me smile, I try to keep a list, sometimes I'm anal about it sometimes i forget it, but I did read in one of my uncluttering books which are cluttering up my desk, that most peoples todo lists should be todo this year rather than today, we expect far too much of ourselves, and when I looked at my list that certainly applied to me.

I also really like flyladys advice, I get the daily digest and only read it when I have time for it, but I bought timers in the states (dollar store) and find the 15 minute rule great for getting through things, you can really see a difference in 15 minutes.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

I haven't been to the flyladys website or whatever it is will have to google it and find it. :) Glad I made you laugh jordylass.

I am a complete and utter list-aholic, there are lists everywhere not much gets marked off them sometimes though lol, but I find it really satisfying when I can mark through something. This 15 minute timer thing has got me all intrigued and I've got a couple of minutes before bible study so I'm off to search for it...ttfn :)
