Sounds very inspiring. Thanks for posting the info for when it is on Funky Fairy. I'll watch it tonight. Looks very inspiring. Thanks. :-)

Tonight is the fourth programme out of eight. States in the info "...can they achieve Anthea's ridiculously high standards?" Is she a bit like Fly Lady then? Does Anthea have any kids?

She has step children but from the look of her house she must wrap them in polythene and tape them to the sofa when they come round.

Ooh no she's not at all like Flylady. Flylady says to get rid of perfectionism and that any attempt at housework is good even if you havent cleaned until things are spotless. Anthea on the other hand is uber-perfectionist to the point of obsession. Did you ever see that Julia Roberts film (was it Sleeping with the Enemy?) where the husband lined up the towels in the bathroom and the tins in the cupboard? That's Anthea's style!

Having said that, I love her show, I find her fascinating. For me, it's entertainment rather than a learning experience!

I did sign up to FlyLady at one point but got so many darn emails that I ended up unsigning myself. I do nip into the site though from time to time for inspiration. Can't wait to see this Perfect Housewife programme. Wonder what Kim and Aggie would make of her?

Smiley if you like the inspiration of Flylady but can't get on with the website or the e-mails why don't you buy the book?

It's called Sink Reflections by Marla Cilley (she's the Flylady). I bought the book ages ago and every time I feel like I need a kick up the jacksy I just dive into the book for a quick read. I love the way she doesn't drive you to perfection and understands those days when all you have time for is a lick and a promise.

Thanks for the link Moggins. I'm now asking myself, do I REALLY need another book, you haven't seen my bookcase, it's jam packed, couldn't fit another book in it if I tried. I've bought decluttering books in the past etc and they do make me feel inspired etc but perhaps it's just I feel so overwhelmed and don't feel like I'm getting anywhere. It's gets to me and then I just get in a flap about it. Thanks though, I'll bear the info in mind. :T

Smiley the way you describe your life it sounds like you need this book more than any other :D It's all about taking babysteps, just little inroads into the clutter and mess that eventually build up into a huge difference.

She gets you to set a timer for 15 minutes and then take regular breaks.

Cheers hun, I was waiting for another useful book to come along to add to my basket so I get the free postage and this looks just the ticket! :T :A

(Well, I do need some more books to fill those new bookcases I just ordered on the outlet bargain site  :rotfl: )
