Microfibre Cloths

I bought a pack in Tescos today. The instructions say use damp. Do I not need a detergent? Would someone mind sparing the time to explain how I should use these cloths. You may have guessed that I'm not very good at housework.0

There is an earlier thread about the wonders of the microfibre cloths or it may be the start of this one.
But basically (I'm just a newbie myself with them) you dust & clean with them. You can have one dampish & the other dry without the need for chemicals etc & it gets everything sparkling. I don't think you are suppose to put anything one them. Vinegar & water solution would be ok. Iv'e done my mirrors & general dusting with them. Also my window in the kitchen and it worked great. Hope that's a start. I'm sure others will tell you more.

How to use microfibre cloths...
Use damp or dry for chemical free cleaning. If you do use a cleaning product then you just need to use a minimal amount. Don't bleach or use with bleach and avoid fabric softener when washing. Can use them to clean throughout the house, windows, car etc.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. Thank you smiley mum. Can you tell that my wife spoiled me all my married life. Now I am finding it difficult to keep the house up to the standards she liked to keep. The words rack and ruin spring to mind.0

I made half of mine damp ( but not wringing wet) and wiped over the mirror, then buffed up with the dry side. No, I didnt use anything - Mr Muscle etc. Just water. You could use spit at a push. :rotfl:Mr Muscle is oven cleaner over here.I now have a few of them. So just have one damp one in your hand & other dry and away you go.

AussieLass,
I've emailed the company that makes Stardrops to see what they say. May have an alternative product or something, you never know. I'll let you know what they say. Just bought a pack of 3 microfibre cloths for 89p and a bottle of concentrated Stardrops at 69p both from Savers. Never been in this shop before until I read about them on this thread
 . Cloths were a pack of three in one colour, they had yellow, green, lavender and white

I just discovered these yesterday and have been on a mad cleaning mission today!
They're fab. The kitchen is sparkling and I didn't have to use any cleaning products at all, just the cloths.Comping Challenge
