I drove 17 miles to get 2 bottles of Stardrops today. I thought this site was meant to save me money.
If enough people recommend something I want to see what i'm missing. No Stardrops in our town at all!
I was picking my daughter from the in-laws anyway. It wouldn't be very frugal going on a 34 mile round trip just to spend £1.38 on some cleaning stuff. I also bought 3 microfibre cloths from Savers for 89p. Just couldn't resist.
No relation to jackieo though. She can foster me if she wants to.
I've cleaned my sink and mirrors. I just need to keep the momentum going..
All great and good stuff btw. :T0 -
I washed mine out this morning in a bowl of Fariy Liquid as I haven't any other washing to do today, then rinsed them well. One white, one green used for cleaning windows and drying dog:rolleyes: . The dirt that came out was gob smacking.....................now I've put them on the line to dry but was wondering: Can they be put in the tumble dryer? Thanks:).0

On all my ones it says they can be tumble dried. It only says not to use them with bleach. Also, not to use fabric softener when washing them.0

When I dry my mf cloths they come out smaller than they went in. I thought synthetics weren't supposed to shrink. They dry so quickly tho its hardly worth it and they do cause a lot of static in the dryer.
Are the ones from savers any good. I want to get some different coloured ones so I can colour code for jobs. Seen to have aquired a stack of blues ones, and noticed that savers come in different colours.

I got 2 four packs from poundland at the weekend after I'd bought the 2 pk at aldi. The four packs contain a blue, green, pink and yellow cloth and they are abour 20cm square so a bit smaller than the aldi ones but they're okI like to live in cloud cuckoo land :hello:0

I found in the cupboard  a packet of Scotch Brite cleaning cloths that I bought from Costco ages ago. They are blue, pink, green and yellow and fairly large. Although they don't say Microfibre they are very similar and the instructions appear to be the same as the others..............so I think I'm set up for a while. Need to buy some stardrops too;). All this cleaning is making me feel dizzy!0

Yesterday I found a new use for microfibre cloths - I have difficulty getting in and out of the bath and realised that a microfibre cloth folded over the side of the bath gave a really good grip and made it much easier. Might be helpful to other posters with dodgy knees!!0

Thanks for that. The rubber has gone on the bottom of my (over the bath) shower door. I've been using face flannels or hand towels under the door to stop the floor getting wet. A microfibre cloth might to the trick until I can get a new door.0 -
I can join this club to now!!!! I bought some in tescos today just the cheap value ones, yet to use them but i will be trying out later tonight.
Still on the hunt for stardrops my sainsburys didnt have them0 -
I've never even seen Stardrops over here. Look's like I'll be on the outer again.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
