OMG what a day for the kitty and the OP, who must have been beside herself ... like she says, accidents DO happen ... and I for one am glad she posted.
I have only had one elderly rescue cat indoors who couldn't have cared less about anything, kept herself to herself and didn't investigate, but now having a younger cat who is into everything (*LOL*) it's nice to have a heads up on what I need to watch out for ... but no matter how safe you think your home is, you can't rule out things like this happening out of the blue ... am just glad the little chap's ok!!
Hope you've managed to calm down by now, Mrs E .... !!0 -
Poor you and kitten! I'd say they were worse than children but then my DS2 climbed into the dryer and shut himself in once too!
Hope he has learned that they dryer is not a comfy bed0 -
These things happen and I think the OP was over reacting tbh.......My cat jumped through an open upstairs window (the room was being painted and the door was open for literally a second) and I found her on the window sill, whilst panicing about how I was going to get her down she jumped down onto the shed roof herself. She was fine and no harm done but my heart was hammering all the time, I kept checking her over to make sure whilst she looked at me in total bewilderment.
I make sure no windows are open now, not only don't I want her hurting herself, shes in season and has to stay in til I get her down the vets and get her "fixed".
TBH there are worse things you could have done to your cat Mrs E....0 -

She was simply highlighting the accident that had occurred.0 -
I once found my bird in the dishwasher! Luckily it wasn't on. She just thought it was some great parrot sized playpen.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I certainly wouldn't refer to my replies on this thread as abuse. It is my opinion and I have chosen to voice it. It's tough if it offends people, I feel offended by this thread and the attitude of the people who have chosen to respond to it.0

Just to point out, this forum is for Money Saving, is MrsE's thread warning on how to save money by not having to take your cat to the vet after heat exhaustion and being tossed about in the drum of a tumble dryer?0
