Hey no one has "!!!!ed" on my cornflakes.

No I have never made a mistake were my pet is concerned.

As for choice to read it, the thread title was bad enough.

NB. I am not a huge fan of humans particularly as it is, & this kind of irresponsible act really boils my !!!!.

Never put a collar on your Cat? Never had it slip out of the door when you weren't looking? If the thread title was bad enough then why read more fgs? You think you're perfect well, you're not. What you may not think is a mistake others may do. You have to open a tumble dryer door to load it. Anyone saying they've never made a mistake is lying, i've made plenty & learnt from them. I'm sure MrsE will be feeling bad enough without your c!!!. And if you Cat does wear a collar, there's your first mistake! I for one am glad of the warning, I don't have a tumble dryer but if it makes 1 person think then good.

    I never use collars:D
I thought that by never leaving the dryer unattended while loading & unloading I was safe:eek:

A thread isn't a thread on MSE unless someone has to criticise. You can post the most innocuous thing and someone while dissect it and criticise. I recently posted asking what was the best gents watch and was amazed how anyone could not be anyhting other than pleasant and answer my question, but quite a few manage it. The kitten is OK and was taken straight to the vet, not everyone would take him to the vet.My cats like the tumble drier too and there but for the grace of god. My mum cat fell out of a first floor window when she was about 6 months so now I can't even leave an upstairs window up, accidents happen. Seriously if you get upset about that how do you cope with the anti-vivisectionists in town or films like The Last King Of Scotland ( that really upset me last night)

I was worried about my kitten 2 nights ago he started shivering. I thought he was getting a fever, but half an hour later he was right as rain. I think his mum had been a bit violent when telling him no he couldn't feed - he is 4 months and nearly as big as her, but she can be rough.

If you are talking "normal" prices then Seiko is good:D

Thank you for your support & understanding.
I actually felt physically sick & shaken inside when I phoned the vets & I could tell they were worried about what could have happened. I wasn't ringing to see if they needed to see him, but explaining what happened so they knew he had to be seen today, not tomorrow. They are very good, they saw him as soon as I got him there.

It's terrifying isn't it, plus all the what ifs going thru your mind. You did the right thing, many would've just decided to wait & see if he looked fine (Not me i'da done what you did). You got him checked & warned us & no doubt now he's being spoilt to death! It could happen to anyone, especially with a Kitten with them being so tiny! They get into everything no matter how closely we watch them, I don't think you could've been more careful either, it's one of those things. I'm so glad he's ok & i'm sure you're more shocked than he is!

dont worry MrsE its not your fault. It was an accident and dont listen to what that other poster said... they obviously cant read otherwise they woudnt have posted what they did about leaving the door open.

And in this instance i think you were right to post on here as some people might not be so aware of the dangers,
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire

It's very easily done no matter how safe you try to make things. Kittens tend to get everywhere! Our cat did that when she was a kitten and she was and is fine! You aren't a bad owner at all. x

While walking across the carpark at work one day my Mum had the feeling something was behind her & turned to see her Kitten (Well, my Brother's) trotting across the carpark behind her, he'd got under the bonnet/in the engine somehow & ended up going to work with her, about 3 miles. I have no idea where or how he hung on, but things happen.

Pretty easy to work out where those two sayings come from...........
