It varies - if you call the individual hotel they will be able to advise.

The other thing that the hotels don't tell you is that if you walk up to the podium and pay for breakfast then (or add it to the room) it will cost MORE than if you go to reception and ask for a breakfast voucher.

Happens a lot in the UK, voucher is say £9.00 whilst at the podium it's £15 +:eek:

Either way is still expensive IMHO

I have always been advised of that at check in at Holiday Inns. I do agree though, you can get a far better deal at Wetherspoons ... or somewhere more healthy!

I haven't tried using this code before, have read all through the thread but still a bit puzzled.......

I'm searching for a family room in Europe for a single night in August. There are two Holiday Inns in the city we are staying in.

Rack Rate at HI 1: £71
Rack Rate at HI 2: £80

Using the F&F, HI 1 is coming up at exactly the same price, HI 2 is telling me that they only allow 2 people per room (although they have family rooms for 4 available at rack rate).

None of the other links are giving any discount from the rack rate - in fact, some of them are quoting higher prices (£100 + for the second hotel).

For those of you in the know, do you think it's because we want a family room during peak season, or are the codes maybe not working properly? I've tried deleting cookies etc but no joy

The rates are working fine for other locations, so I would imagine that there is no inventory for your dates.
