  • The F&F link was showing me lower prices than the standard, but different to those which my friend was seeing. Luckily, he has been able to place the reservation for me with a discount of 30%.
From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!
  • No not London, have been looking at Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Chester and all the same. The show the other rates available for all the hotels but not the F&F rate, such as book early and save.
An example - Birmingham/Manchester 18th March. does anyone get any friends rates for any hotels on this date?
    thanks

Ah, see what you mean! They all show 'The requested rate is not available etc'. I do hope it's not going to be stopped.
  • Looks like the rates have been put back on but all the dates I've checked after end of Jan only had about 20% off, so about the same as any early booking rate - never mind its was good while it lasted!
  • I just stayed at the Crowne Plaza Central Birmingham for two nights totalling £75 using 2 for 1. Rack rate was £225 for the basic room we had. We could have had club rooms for £120 for the two nights but I don't think they warranted an extra £45 fora few free beers.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

Am interested in using the F&F voucher as I only want to book a single night. Do the hotels never challenge whether you are really a friend of Anthony Bainbidge? Surely if everyone is using the same friend they would soon cotton on to it?

I tried booking a hotel in London through F&F rates, and got the message 'The requested rate is not available' on a lot of hotels. But when I clicked on the link for the hotel which says 'Show available rates', it actually comes up with the discounted F&F price. I wonder if it's a glitch with the site, so check on the individual hotel you want in case.
