i am a bit worried about a reservation i made through the F&F link. booked a hotel in NY for October - had reservation email confirmation, but they are yet to charge my credit card for the room.

when typically do they do this?

This is what it says on my email:

Prepayment is charged to credit card between time of booking and day of arrival and is non-refundable.

I think for overseas bookings they tend to charge it on arrival at the Hotel. I booked the HIE at Girona, Spain, using the F&F link, also got the we will take payment soon e-mail but they asked for the credit card on arrival and swiped it there and then. They also knew all about the voucher and asked for and kept it.

Wow what a thread and a HUGE thank you to Kit for posting.

We stayed at the absolutely fabulous Crowne Plaze Festival City, Dubai in February this year and are looking to return in Feb 2010 for 6 or 7 nights. Our last deal was a good deal through Expedia, for around £1400 for 2 of us with flights with KLM via Amsterdam from Aberdeen. This was booked in the January New Year sale. I was going to wait for the Jan 2010 sale and just do the same.

I priced the hotel for Feb 2010 without any of the offers and the price was 735 DHS per night. With the F&F offer 551 DHS per night. A saving of around £33 per night. My question is this, although I realise I may be asking for a crystal ball  but, are the hotel prices likely to come down at the New Year?

Hi Okubit, or anyone else who can help or has a opinion of my question/query.
Me and hubby are wanting to go to London for our 10 year wedding anniversary.

Have been collecting the Tesco vouchers and have £150 pounds worth, but these can only be used at Hilton or Marriott hotels in London. Called both chains and obviously they have increased the prices as paying some balance with vouchers.

I can stay at the Marriott Regents park or Maida Vale for £268 plus vat for the 2 nights (then take off vouchers)

Or stay at the Hilton Canary Wharf for £258 plus vat (then take off vouchers)

    Would anyone reccomend these hotels???

Okubit, can I get a cheaper deal with your hotel chain, we are wanting to pay max £200 (coming 25 September for 2 nights)

Help as wanting to make this specail as did not think would make it to 10 years!!
