Just wanted to say thanks to Obukit. Using the two nights for 1 code we have managed to book into the holiday inn express in Hammersmith for next Monday and Tuesday (16th and 17th March) which includes breakfast for a grand total of £99
So all in, with 10% promotion from national express, a 3 hour walking tour around London, two exceptionally priced tickets to see Josepth and his technicolor dreamcoat (something my wife has always wanted to see) and £20 on an oyster underground travel card has cost us £220. Woohoo, can't wait
Not bad for u,s considering we are travelling down from Yorkshire
Interested in staying in London before Easter, but because we have 1 child the offers dont seem applicable. Any ideas which would be the best round it?
Check out the Hammersmith holiday Inn express. Reviews looks fab, its right above a wetherspoons (so cheap drink and food) and located in an excellent area just 15 minutes by tube to London Victoria or Covent Garden. They have a double room with pullout bed settee that would allow you to sleep 4 (two children and two adults) and are on this rate (its what we booked).A male chef of 4. My restaurant is always full and i don't need to tout for business.
OK OK I'm a house husband but it did sound better my way :beer:0 -
Just wanted to say thanks for this.
I have just booked 2 nights at the Birmingham Crowne Plaza in a "club room (whatever that means!)" for little over £100. Without your link I couldn't get anywhere near this price. It looks nice on the links so hope we have a good time.
Looking forward to a good weekend away. Thanks again

Next cheapest for weekend stays, including free bottle of wine: LEISURE SAVER (expires 7th June 2009)
This offer typically saves about a third off normal room rates, plus if you sign up for IHG's Priority Club loyalty card before you get to the hotel you'll get a free bottle of house wine (typical value circa £15) with your stay from 13th March. Because of this if you're staying multiple nights make separate reservations and get multiple bottles of wine, while staying in the same room throughout (a bit like splitting train tickets). You DO get Priority Club points with this rate.
Do you know how the priority club reward 'stay 2 nights get 3rd night free' works, from what i can gather if you sign up for he priority club, make 2 bookings before end apr then they will to-up your reward points to 25000 to make enough for a free night after the 15th june, i was planning a 2 night stay in april (leisure saver, only £28 a night) if i were to stay 1 night 1 hotel and 1 night a different hotel, would I then be able to get a 'free' night for a stay in July that I am planning and would the 'free reward' night' incl a family room.
Many Thanks

This happens when the hotel hasn't set up their rooms correctly on our central reservations system. Just book it for 2 adults, then call or email the hotel directly to get them to add on the children for you - this means they will have the sofabed and extra towels, cups etc. in the room prepared. Hotels aren't allowed to charge anything extra for bookings made through IHG channels so there shouldn't be any problem with this.
The Glasgow hotels are really nice and have consistently won awards for their service so I hope you enjoy your stay!Do you know how the priority club reward 'stay 2 nights get 3rd night free' works, from what i can gather if you sign up for he priority club, make 2 bookings before end apr then they will to-up your reward points to 25000 to make enough for a free night after the 15th june, i was planning a 2 night stay in april (leisure saver, only £28 a night) if i were to stay 1 night 1 hotel and 1 night a different hotel, would I then be able to get a 'free' night for a stay in July that I am planning and would the 'free reward' night' incl a family room.

Leisure Saver is a qualifying rate so there shouldn't be any problem with this - as you have said, you will probably get about 500 reward points per night for your stay, so PC will add 24k onto your account in June. However, you must stay before the end of April, not just book. There's quite a good table on this page explaining how it works if it helps.
In the past as well they haven't actually enforced staying in different hotels, so you could try making two reservations for one hotel to save you moving - however, this isn't guaranteed as their T&Cs do say that c/i and c/o doesn't make it a different stay .
Incidentally, 25k should be enough for more than one free night as most hotels are only 15k points in the UK so really it's "Stay twice, get one and two thirds plus two bottles of wine free"! Hope you enjoy your stays.
