Hello............have not been around for a few days.....just lurking today.Today, my BEST is good enough.0

Hestons Victorian Feast = :eek::eek::eek:
I am not sure I am allowed to post what they put in the jelly, but it seemed a waste of good batteries to me.
Will definitely watch next week. Possibly from behind the sofa.

That jelly was amazing, made us both smile here and I loved the idea of that drink from Alice in Wonderland - fab!

P.S. Hi Christabell! To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
Dear heart was 'busy in the other room' when the jelly was on! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Not sure about the drink at the start, and the consomme - that looked so complex! I have not seen his stuff before. I am still somewhat in shock.
Delivery done, little bear eating grapes, now he is feeling better there is a lot less havoc to report.
I have put away at least a tenth of the stuff, now just the other 90% But at least I can now get another load of washing on as the soap powder came.
Freezer just about full but want to stock pile moreI shall have to have a furtle.
Need to make list of what is in cupboards, what is in freezer and meal plan. I have been saying that for several weeks. It WILL happen.

It's like the horror movie when the hero says, 'we're perfectly safe here'.
He can now get on top of the fireguard to reach the mantel piece where things like scissors have been placed supposedly out of reach.
So, today I am reorganising the living room (again) It is a great opportunity to declutter, deep clean and sort out. It would be even better if I didn't ache in every joint, have a thumping headache, cough and dribbly nose. Unfortunately I dare not put it off!

Poor Sybil....what an athletic small man...the only really safe thing I can suggest is to tie him up...but I think that it might be against some law or other!! Take it easy pet, you are not well, just keep LB off the roof, that's enough.
Just on my way to do some grocery shopping...should have been done at weekend so we are seriously in deficit....
Hugs to all in need or want, talk to you all later

Afternoon All!
Looks nice & sunny with blue skies here in Brizzle - the little I can see from the office window. Another one of those days when I really wish I didn't have to be in wo*k.....Actually, I 'lost' another of the contracts I deal with yesterday, so my workload is going down again. Am very tempted, once it goes, to ask my boss about working less hours. Ideally I would like to do a 4-day week and be able to give my mum more support with my dad (he has alzheimers, and she looks after him at home, which causes her a lot of stress). In the current climate, the company might like to save money by paying me less! and if I work 4 slightly longer days, then I wouldn't lose out too much on the £ I don't think - I reckon we could manage anyway.
OS planned for tonight - Apart from making bread for DH's lunch tomorrow, I should get on with sorting the 'floordrobe' which is still just as big (how many weeks now?!?) but don't know if I will have the energy as have not stopped since before the weekend - a night of putting the feet up in front of the TV is sounding VERY appealing at the moment!!!!!!
Sorry to hear about your migraine Stef - know how you feel as I suffer from them too and have a couple in the last month. Apart from the pills, rubbing lavendar oil on my forehead and temples seems to help, and helps me get to sleep, which I find is the best 'medicine' for them if you can manage it with the pain.
Mummysaver - your kids' packed lunch is making me drool! I forgot mine today (overslept) so it's the 'emergency' tinned soup for me....not half as yummy!
MSD - ((HUGS)) - If no-one has posted you a SC Rice Pud recipe when I get home I'll look mine up and pop it on for you.
Mudgekin - nice to see you back hun!
Moggins - spending £1.90 to save £8 sounds very MS & OS to me!
(((HUGS))) to all who need/want,

Hide me....... pleeaseeee.......
They arrive tomorrow
Crisca - hugs for the little one
stefjb - hope your migrane claers up - I do exactly the same after they lift; I don't know where all that energy comes from!
Katie1980 - I had to get rid of the DS because of animal crossing - dreadfully addictive! My mum's just bought one and at Christmas I managed to complete the curious village game in two days. When I looked at the timer, I had been playing for 22 hours  I am my own worst enemy with computer games
Graduation gown set us back £130, which we really didn't need, but it was cheaper to buy it than to hire it twice (as I will need the same one when I can be bothered to book a date). We have already had a couple of people ask if they can borrow it though, which would be fine and we figured we could always sell it on afterwards to recoup some of the cost. I sold my last one on Ebay for more than I paid for it (masterstroke listing it in the "dressing up" catagory)
This one is horrible. It's bright red with navy blue flashes. Honestly.
I'm not going to get out of skiving off gradaution this time though - my parents were not happy last time (I was working so didn't attend). I dislike ceremony immensly.
Ocodo delivery arrives tonight - bizarrely worked out significantly cheaper than doing the shop in any of the other supermarkets plus I could use the John Lewis vouchers from pigsback.
I made semolina fork biscuits last night - but had to use self raising flour as I am out of plain. I pressed them into a madeline (sp?) mould and they were really nice - much more cakey because they had risen a bit.
I want to try making laundry gloop tonight as I have lots of bits of soap aquired over the years from hotel stays. And I think there is some sodium carbonate in the cupboard.
*sigh* Right - must go and do some workHave a good day all
I was dreadful with the DS I am not so bad with the WII but I like it and it keeps me out of mischeif, Drs all ok just need to send new sicknote off but other than that it is all good I am going to tidy up the dining room and the kitchen and then decide what I am going to cook if I cook at all tonight for teaOf all the things I have lost I miss my mind the most£2,960 in debt to RBS paying off at £10 a Fortnight0 -

MSD, slice them into 1/2" slices, quick-fry with bacon / pancetta & add to pasta with some pesto
Or in a warm salad again with bacon & some mixed leaves.0 -
Fairy Elephant - I make all the lunches before I go to bed or when I get in from work, I'm either just about ready to go to bed or not awake first thing in the mornings! They'll be having ciabatta tomorrow as it was reduced to 10p a loaf last night!
Well I got nabbed by a neighbour to sort out some paperwork for tonight, so have done all that, amongst numerous tea breaks, friend dropped in with her babe so I had to have a cuddle as well!
All peaceful here now, paperwork finished and I thought I'd have a browse here and thought my milk bottle sweeties would be a good accompaniment, but ha, someone has eaten them! I rarely buy sweets, but I do like milk bottles and I was looking forward to them!
So I shall just browse and see if I can come up with any new meal ideas to try out over the next few weeks.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
