Morning all................((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Mega storm last night rain and wind....not nice, this morning bright blue sky and just a glimmer of sun........
Supprisingly I slept last night, after all the excitement I thought I might not be able to get off, brain racing etc, but light out at midnight, woke once in the night and then came too around 7.30am, got up just before 8.
The chap who should have come yetserday is coming this morning, so will have to get OH up and showered in a mo..............I need to clean the miniscule kitchen floor and the work tops. Once a week I strip everything off and clean them with a mixture of stardrops and bleach.......in between I wipe them over with a hot soapy cloth.
Little bubble of excitement but trying not to let it get out of control, I will be gutted if anything prevents us from moving..........OH seemed a lot brighter last night, I think the situation has been getting to him more than he let on. Today will be his 7th without a dizzy if all goes ok. He was talking about what pots etc we could bring back from the lottie to put in the back garden.......I discovered that he had ordered sweet peas at the end of last year, so they will have to go in a pot with a wigwam of bean sticks whether they are 'at home' or at the allotment.
I will have to rework the budget, we will have to stand the rent until the HB and CT people have done their worst, I think we might get between £300 and £350 a month towards the rent, I know they will take off money because we have 2 bedrooms
Haggis for supper, I will nip to Aldi later and get a swede......otherwise I would have to do it with bacon and tommy'sWas 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Dinner tonight is kedgeree made with a lovely piece of smoked halibut I found in the freezer. I do love it made with smoked fish but I tend not to use curry powder as old mum doesn't like it. I think for afters I will make oakbank apple pudding and have that with custard as I have a lot of bramley apples to use.
Have a lovely day everyone and I hope things get better for those ill or sad

Morning all - I am full of migraine still but am currently in nurofen heaven. I've taken the day off work as i don't want to end up in the dark spooky first aid room again. house looks like a tip as i didn't do anything last night - how can one 12yo make so much mess! Luckily when the migraine lifts i will get a huge burst of energy and run around like a mad thing in a cleaning frenzy. it's a bit inconvenient if it happens at 4am but the girls are used to it.
oh well - back to bed
hugs all roundI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Csarina - wishing you all the best
MSD - you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Princesstippytoes - I never made it to 'movement' as I had lurgy. I am a bit worried because lurgy was genuine, but I was freaking at the thought of taking him out. Need to work on that still.
Washing on - may be able to dry it outside. I do hope that washing powder comes with the order as I have now run out and the local shop is VVV expensive for such things. I have washing soda and bar soap which I think are constituents of hm washing powder, but I barely have the energy to unload the washing machine.
If I manage any further OS will post as will be a miacle!Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
I am off to the Dr's today and chasing up my CWP as I could do with it, My tin is full so I am going to empty it at Asda and I am going buy myself a treat  feeling better than yesterday and I am definatly going to get my butt moving and tidy up I did not do anything yesterday.
OH is staying tonight so we can sit and snuggle or I could play Animal Crossing againOf all the things I have lost I miss my mind the most£2,960 in debt to RBS paying off at £10 a Fortnight0 -
Hello everyone,
One very tired Ninny here tonight. Note I didn't say old.Went with DH to work today which was interesting. The fruit & veg markets to be exact. Couldn't believe the waste. All around I saw fruit & veg on the ground. I wanted to go and pick it all up but I wasn't allowed.
I was told in stern tones not to get out the truck.
Wish we had snow here. Another stinker but in the last few minutes a puff of breeze has just blown in. Plans for tomorrow is to catch up with washing & do the floors. Might make some avocado loaves as I've got about a dozen here that are all ripening at once. Depends on how hot it is.
stef This isn't medical advice can you buy Mersyndol over there? You can buy it over the counter. It comes in a blue box and they are yellow round tablets. They are fantastic for strong pain whatever it is. Much better than nurofen even.
Hope you all have a lovely day & <hugs> to all those not well. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hide me....... pleeaseeee.......
They arrive tomorrow
Crisca - hugs for the little one
stefjb - hope your migrane claers up - I do exactly the same after they lift; I don't know where all that energy comes from!
Katie1980 - I had to get rid of the DS because of animal crossing - dreadfully addictive! My mum's just bought one and at Christmas I managed to complete the curious village game in two days. When I looked at the timer, I had been playing for 22 hours  I am my own worst enemy with computer games
Graduation gown set us back £130, which we really didn't need, but it was cheaper to buy it than to hire it twice (as I will need the same one when I can be bothered to book a date). We have already had a couple of people ask if they can borrow it though, which would be fine and we figured we could always sell it on afterwards to recoup some of the cost. I sold my last one on Ebay for more than I paid for it (masterstroke listing it in the "dressing up" catagory)
This one is horrible. It's bright red with navy blue flashes. Honestly.
I'm not going to get out of skiving off gradaution this time though - my parents were not happy last time (I was working so didn't attend). I dislike ceremony immensly.
Ocodo delivery arrives tonight - bizarrely worked out significantly cheaper than doing the shop in any of the other supermarkets plus I could use the John Lewis vouchers from pigsback.
I made semolina fork biscuits last night - but had to use self raising flour as I am out of plain. I pressed them into a madeline (sp?) mould and they were really nice - much more cakey because they had risen a bit.
I want to try making laundry gloop tonight as I have lots of bits of soap aquired over the years from hotel stays. And I think there is some sodium carbonate in the cupboard.
*sigh* Right - must go and do some workHave a good day all

Morning all, bit busy at the moment so having trouble keeping up with events here.
Am dragging my heels at the moment as I have a lot of jobs that I'm not relishing this morning.- Have to sort packing for Holland at the weekend, getting all stagewear and costume stuff in carry on luggage
- Find something to wear, whether in wardrobe (not optimistic), buying a new top or finishing blouse I have started (no buttons yet).
- Sort out hair...current wig is totally shot, but not got new one as I want it. In addition sort out the one that goes 'up' for the competition, trying to pack it so it doesn't get completely wrecked.
- Find all stage makeup, false eyelashes etc etc.
- organise meals for the family for while I'm away.
- Sort out stuff for Youth Music Festival
- Sort out stuff for Twin town orchestra thingy that I'm organising.
What shall we have for tea? I'm making Roasted red pepper hummus for lunch. Please send ideas for tea!
Hope you all have a good day with all your trials and tribulations. Hope that something nice happens for you today.
editing... cripes! just remembered I have someone coming at lunchtime for a manicure, nearly forgot about that!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning all!
Definitely some sun peeking through here today, well there was when I took the dog out! OS I have S&S the kitchen, grabbed rubbish from all over the house and filled a black bag, bin men come today so kids won't notice that I've chucked their tat! BM is on and wm is doing it's thing.
Meant to be out getting ds some new rugby boots, but I really think I need his feet with me to do it properly, well that's my excuse! So going to stay at home and drink tea! Friend coming over for a cuppa later too, so should be nice.
dd2 is back from her activity trip today, so must remember that I've said I'll collect her from school rather than her getting the bus! Been very quiet without her - always upsets the dynamics if one of them is missing! She sounds like she's having a great time though.
Lunch today for the kids was hm cheese and cucumber rolls, hm choc brownie slices, apple, raisins and yoghurt. Cheese on toast for me, with a baked bean garnish!
Dinner tonight will be baked potatoes for the kids, I'll grab something from the freezer as I have a charity meeting tonight, then might be going out to meet a friend for a quick drink and a catch up - if the meeting finishes at a sensible time and I still have some energy!
Have a good day all, hugs to those in need xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning all!
Well I am stuck in the house most of the day again, as waiting for the parcel that was meant to turn up yesterday! I really need it in time for Friday and won't be here tomorrow as I am at work, so have had to cancel my trip to the gym and young mums group to stay in and hope it turns up. So much for next day delivery! Think I may email company to complain as I have paid extra for a service I havent received! sorry rant over
OH was watching the films Aliens in bed last night, which I ended up watching too! I can't stand films like that but felt compelled to watch it, eventhough I was hiding under the duvet for most of it. Shouldnt have watched it as I then had a really restless night, as it had scared me so much! I am such a wimp! :rotfl: I told OH he is not watch them kinda films in bed anymore!
Anyone watch that Heston's Victorian feast on CH4 last night? Amazing the things he made!
Eldest DS got his uniform for Beavers last night, though his jumper is a little big. It's the only size the group leader had and they sell them cheaper then the proper retailers. The body of it isnt too bad, it's just the arms. Anyone know how I can shorten the arms? I am not good at sewing, so is there an easy way of doing it that involves the minium amount of sewing? lol
Completed the first unit of my PC course last night, so think I will doing the exam next week. Eventhough I used to be an IT tutor myself, I am really quite nervous about doing an exam! :rotfl:Think it's because I am used to being the teacher not the student!
Dinner today is: Cheese & onion rolls, new potatoes, salad & HM coleslaw.
Time for some exercise! Exercise bike here I come!
Hugs to all! Hope everyone has a good day!
