It's hard to predict when a sale will take place. You just have to look out for the email giving a few days notice.

I agree with you about how expensive they have become. The cost of staying at the Waterloo Travelodge in London on Tuesday and Wednesday next week is nearly £180 per night. It should be possible to find a decent 4 star for less than that.

They MAY already have been and gone. I booked some for Dec in the last sale. However I have a gut feeling (nothing more, no inside information) that they may be waiting until after the Olympics to gauge the stop-on rate in the UK from foreign tourists.

  • Hi,

don't know when next sale is, but have a look at their site and click 'find our lowest prices', there are some for £19, if you book in advance.

You`ve missed it and I would guess the next sale to be Nov,Dec and Jan.

Like the airlines and most travel firms they seem to think the peak months are J,A,S,O, whereas before it used to be just July and August.

Of course the olympics haven`t helped matters this year.
  • Just make sure the Travelodge hotel in question is built. We booked on the last £19 per room offer weeks ago for Balham, London, due to check in tomorrow and we were only sent an email cancelling yesterday afternoon informing us it is now not due to open until next week. They offered to change the booking to another Travelodge but none were anywhere near so we have cancelled our trip. Very disappointing.
